  • only needs to be lower if at some stage in the future you want to get knee replacement.

  • if your best clean and jerk is 160, drop that weight to like 210 and hit rock bottom for reps and your clean will come up

  • Excellent work.

  • Great work.

  • wow thats some big weight, can just see the bar bending..

  • sweet!

  • im 13 and i can front squat almost 600lbs perfectly ass to grass raw at 202 no dope. :)

  • @13andincrediblycut Go to the olympics then, because that makes you a God among humans.

  • @13andincrediblycut

im 7 and i can frontsquat 875lbs atg

  • @13andincrediblycut do u have a video of it?

  • a spotter would be nice

  • He has monstrous power!

  • jesus fuck, strong as hell

  • wow dude that's heavy as shit and you did it front squat, impressive!

  • holy fuk

  • very impressive good technique too

  • Squat rack in the living room instead of furniture. I love it!

  • Amazing.

  • that was low enough because if you sit on the back of your ankles then that is below paralel

  • impressive. i liked your form; i think it was low enough. i think you need a new rack though haha

  • Disturbed is awesome and so are front squats

  • cheke64s right he'd hav a massiv vertical

  • not neccessarily, vertical is explosive power, a squat like this is strength, slower movement . That said i am not saying that he doesn't but this type of exercise does not develop your explosive power

  • @rehanb Wrong.

  • really? think again

  • @rehanb Any lifting movement can be explosive; the LIFTER is who makes the exercise explosive. If you bench press slow as a slug, it is not explosive. If your intention is to make it explosive, even if your muscles can't lift it fast, it is still explosive if you are trying to make it explosive, as that is the message being sent to your muscles.

    Think again.

  • The central nervous activity combined with the stimulation of fast twitch fibers makes the squat an ideal exercise for increasing explosivity.

  • at that weight its not explosive, you're CNS will is the major factor in explosive power, unless you contract you're muscles at an ACTUAL fast speed you wont develop that aspect enough. I said that this exercise isn't specific to developing power its only one part of the equation, to a well trained individual adding 10 pounds to your max will have extremely little to know effect on your vertical, if you are a novice and have no strength it will help increase your vertical, and

  • you're right.

  • and this guy seems pretty well trained

  • some what true, if you think fast you'll send that message yes. However its always best to use a smaller load 60% 1RM in the squat and bench. Going heavy squats alone will make you slow, same for bench. You have to throw in dynamic workouts, power cleans/snatches/sprints/plyo's etc. The squat develops the strength those lifts increase the rate at which you can release it, hence explosiveness.

  • @rehanb u are fuking dumb

  • veryimpressive lift though,whats that about 520lbs

  • 528.

  • Awesomeness to the power of 10.

  • Amazing lift.

  • i bet he can dunk with ease.

  • No man its a good lift,

  • doesn't it hurt your shoulders

  • lol

  • holy ****

  • wow, that is HEAVY O_O

  • those are bumper plates each is 15 kg and 10 kg at the end they are special for weightlifting and the shoes are for that too adidas

  • lol its very possible that they arent adidas, but also the plates get up to like 25kg...

  • at 00.26 i like the way how he takes off the barbell of the rack its like looking at an art. wonderful man

  • Impressive lift! Love the plates :P

  • Awesome lift, I can't imagine that kind of weight in the clean position. Props to you.

  • WOW

  • deep enough, very impressive!

  • get all that front squat money

  • that is not below parallel

  • go deeper. deeper is always better.

  • That's deep enough. Any more and you'd be shitting your insides.

  • Wow! Great job!

  • real good.

  • very good!

ive never seen the front squat before. i only do the 'behind neck' squat. watching that i would be too worried of falling backwards.

  • with 240 kgs across the front of your shoulders I doubt you'd fall back if you tried! The hard thing about those is not leaning forward.

  • Plenty deep enough. Love the sandals. Hahaha. Bad.

  • those are adidas squat shoes..

  • looks like parallel to me, regardless thats sick weight whats your clean at? Looks like you have immense strength I'd be very surprised though if you could clean over 500lbs.

  • sick weight...

  • Some heavy shit dude ^^ I think its deep enough!

  • thats absolutly deep enough

  • haha badass man you did that in flip flops?

  • oh my bad- at first glance it looks like it

  • looked deep enough to me

  • siickkkkk

  • yes you need to go a little bit lower, but still very strong. what is your bodyweight? i'm chasing 200kg raw currently at bodyweight 102kg. probably get it in february 2008!

  • i think if you went all the way down you might do more because of the bounce out of the whole

  • you're not supposed to 'bounce', it'll probably destroy your knees at that weight. I always stay 1 second at the bottom (not relieving any weight though) and then explode up, to avoid the bounce.

  • timing you explosion out of the bottom is proably what i should have said. and pausing is not the way to go to inprove your clean, once in a while but unless you practice proper timing you wont get all the benifit

  • Ace job. Where exactly are you letting the bar rest, chest or below neck or something?

  • On the shuolder's meat

  • amazing strong.

  • how come you did sort of a calf raise at the beginning?

  • Nice Lift, Nice Platform. Tha kind of of poundage is still a bit out of my reach...

  • hey u better make sure someone's around when you're lifting that sort of weight :)

  • why how's that gonna help a front squat like that if he messes up

  • Perfect form. Great job. Does not need to be lower. How the hell do you stand the pain on your nfront delts? I can't handle it. Standard squats - no problem.

    Nice lift dude.

  • the pain...you'll get used to it.

  • Nice one dude thats strong!

  • People telling you go deeper are fools. That was perfect depth.

  • Great lift mate. That's a big front squat. Great home gym.

  • Good lift dude. Raw and legit. Thats how its done. Now maybe try for lower.

  • very strong lift my friend!

  • I think using the normal uncrossed arms position is so much better, more stability, you HAVE to keep your back straigth, and you stretch your wrist flexors which are very often too tight for most people. You just have to get used to it though.

Nice strength. I find it weird how you keep your feet pointed to the outside. Any reason for this? And why the calve raise before the descent?

  • actually my back is more straight with crossed arms

  • He went down plenty deep! Awesome lift!

  • u clean and jerk 160 kg right? u must get out of that clean like its an empty bar

  • If I can get under it, I can stand with it. Unfortunately, right now that's a pretty big disparity.

  • Nice squat! What do you C&J?

  • hey Hashor, have you competed yet? plus wot is your clean and jerk and snatch best. whats your bodyweight too.

  • Its a little high but nice effort!

  • is that a home gym set up?!!?

    big weight!

  • It is a home gym; it's in my garage.

  • Thats awsome!

  • I'm looking to incorporate these, I always thought you should cross your arms and what advantages does this exercise constitute?

  • It depends on what you're looking for...I'm an olympic weightlifter, and front squats are essential to that kind of training. Crossing your arms is impractical for a competetive olympic-style lifter, but if you're just looking for quad strength/size, etc., it's probably fine. Don't let your elbows drop (a common problem for those that cross their arms) because it will round your spine and put inordinate pressure on your lumbar, etc. Frankly, I should go deeper with this also.
