  • My dad yesterday went to this airport with a Airbus A-340-300 ( in real life, of course )

  • @etin12 Flaps 5, set your trim.

  • really nice vid ......how did u get the scenery of the airport especially the terminal????

  • how can i get the virgin nigeria and arik air aircraft for flight sim?

  • how did u get the scenery for LOS

  • fsnabisso(dot)com

  • I really hope that a new version of this airport will be released soon. (If possible with photoreal ground textures)

Anyone hoping with me on this one?

  • honestly i'm hoping soon

  • Congrats on the new rig, Ed; that one should handle every conceivable scenario that FS9 can throw at it! Looking forward to some more videos from exotic locales with that smooth new setup.

  • Thankyou John...still can't get used to the smoothness!

  • Very good video 5* and subscribed to you. Awsome content :D

  • Wow nice video =D, how can u improve FPS, do you need a faster processor, more RAM or what. I'm not PC expert :S lol Thanks :)

  • I am not a PC expert either...check the avsim forums

  • Nice video, waht's the name of this Lagos Scenery?? KAY

  • The DNMM scenery can be found at fsnabisso(dot)com

  • Thank you very much =)

  • Please tell me where the panel is from?

  • It is my edit of the PMDG 737 and not available.

  • Ok. Nicly edited PMDG panel. But how did you manage to edit gauge bitmap. I was trying desperatly to unpack gauges using FSPANEL EDIT without any sucsess. Please tell me the secret. If you don't want to do it publically you can send me a personal message here. By the way I am working on DC-8 model and maybe we can make interesting cooperation.

  • Nice Video 5/5. Looks though you didn't set autobrakes to RTO for takeoff. Also, why did you wait so long to turn on the Flight Director?

  • My bad, I do sometimes forget the RTO ...but the FD never. check the switch position. the FD bars are there but very hard to see in the vid for some reason.

  • I forget those types of items too sometimes. As for the FD though, I didn't say it wasn't on , just that it wasn't turned on til right before takeoff (at 1:37). The FD is usually turned on during preflight.

  • Hi, Very Nice video, i love your videos, congratulation´s, and sorry for my bed english , it´s because i´m from Brazil!

  • What model are you using and where did you got that panel??

    It looks amazing!! =D

    5/5 starts!!

  • No, I am the Edward Cox from Project Opensky

  • i have the new AM3 phenon II dual core 3.1ghz, 1gig gtx 285 FTW edition

  • Nice to see you back. How was the holiday? Hopefully many flights LoL.

I hvae a question. I have also a Dual-Core, but it's an E8400 @ 2x 3,0 GHz (non-overclocked). Is there a way to make both cores 'busy' while using FS2004? I mean did you find a way to use the CPU's full power for FS, like it's possible for FSX with the SP2 upgrade (uses both cores)?

  • Great holiday thankyou. I am not a computer expert. I believe FS9 can only use one core.

  • OK, thanks. FS9 isn't bad on one 3,0 GHz core, but I'll have a look at google.

  • Very nice, that new machine is looking smooth.

I'd love to see you do a flight in the 737-200 some time.

  • Love to. I am looking to make a custom 737-200 panel.....just gotta find a cockpit to photograph.

  • There's the Tin Mouse 737-200, you couldn't probably modify that panel, it's a pretty good panel as it is though.

  • I know it but I would rather make my own.

  • And seeing all your other panels, I know you'd come up with something amazing.

  • finding the cockpit is the biggest challenge! That's where having connections comes in handy LOL

  • Thanks ed for your fantastic pmdg panel edit

CAN you please tell me where CAN get photoreal bitmaps Like yours

You're getting me with yours bitmap

    Thanks in advance

  • AVSIM, FlightSim or just take photos of the cockpits LoL.

  • Nice i look the look of Murtala Muhammed btw nice.

  • i need to copy you fs9 root directory!!! LOL, i get a solid 60 even on the busiest airports on my new rig!!! thank god! the old shitty rig was a pain in the ass!!

  • link aircraft?

  • It is interesting for me having lived here.

  • Thanks for posting.this video really reminds me of home.are you going to have any other flights within Nigeria?

  • Yes I will be posting more Nigerian flights once my new rig has settled down

  • Hi Ed!...

    Just a question:

in your last video, how do you manage to pan with the camera inside the cockpit and also outside the aircraft?...

  • I absolutely love the VP2130b. I wanted to buy another one but apparently they have been discontinued....I'm gutted!

  • hi ed nice vid as always. whats your spec on the new rig ? if you don't mind me asking .

  • Win-XP 32bit FS9.1 Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 CPU overclocked to 4.0 Ghz per core, 2 x Corsair 2GB PC8500 DDR2, 1000GB HD, IGb Nvidia GTX 285 (186.18 drivers plus NHancer) Viewsonic VP2130b 21.3" LCD

  • thank god for overclocking ey? What's your average FPS on this new rig?

  • Averaging 70 fps.

  • I am recording again with Fraps set at 50FPS...and getting 50FPS.

    Loving this rig!

  • I am prefering Fraps set at 30FPS

  • sweet! I only get 60 on mine but I don't think you can see much difference between 50/60/70

  • Yup 60 is plenty.

  • very nice config. i'm surprised u're running on 32bit wiz 4gb ram. have u tried win 7 64???

  • No and I do not want to. I am very happy with my rig as is thankyou.

  • where did you get that awesome scenery??

  • The DNMM scenery can be found at fsnabisso(dot)com .Although the Terminal 2 (MM2) is my very first venture into scenery design.

  • The Captain's voice is my own. I overdubbed the FS Capt's voice.

  • Very good video.

  • is that real sound, or fs2004 sounds, or addon sounds?

  • The engine note is a freeware addon.

  • Now that's a smooth video, very nicely done sir.

  • Sound in video is quiet ..plase optimize your videos with lauder sound when rendering

  • You are correct. The sound was recorded too low. I will fix it for future vids.

  • man i love your vids.. i check if u got a new video every like 5 hours lol.. sooooo real.. lovin it

  • Thankyou very much. I look forward to making a lot more.

  • Excellent Ed, not seen one of your videos for a while, the new rig is looking good, alot smoother than before.

    God Bless!

  • Thankyou very much!

  • I used the FSRecorder tower view...low pan setting and turn using my yoke hat.

  • That is really smooth. You can see the difference between this rig and the old one.

  • And that was with the frames limited to 30 in Fraps.

  • and you're getting 70 without fraps. I'd love to be able to see that without the 30fps cap.

My Wii runs Resident Evil at 70fps. That's the closest I'll get for a while. My FS2004 struggles to get 15 at a busy airport.

  • Yes ...this was just a test video....I will try Fraps at 50fps next time

  • Can't wait to see it.

  • Nice and smooth eh? Here are my new specs:

    Win-XP 32bit FS9.1 Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 CPU overclocked to 4.0 Ghz per core, 2 x Corsair 2GB PC8500 DDR2, 1000GB HD, IGb Nvidia GTX 285 (186.18 drivers plus NHancer) Viewsonic VP2130b 21.3" LCD

  • wow cool!!!

Fs9 must be running like butter?

  • Indeed it does...average frames around 70.

Still got hundreds of sceneries/aircraft to install into the new rig though.

  • with those specs, u could have a go at fsx too.

  • No thankyou

  • if you don't mind me asking ed . what did it cost you ?

  • £1400.... custom built by Arbico computers

  • great to have yo back

what are your new system's spcs
