This story makes me so angry. How did the the security guard now realize he is Deaf or at least that something is wrong when the mans friend just keeps pointing at his ear. There was absolutely no reason to tackle and choke that man. It's awareness we need. and we need it bad!

They had wrong done! That guy was not innocent! it was all about how those people treating! He had cooperated right away, but security didn't stop and went rough on him more. That's why it got spread out. So, It's all about security who needs to aware deaf people! So others too! We are afraid what if they happen to us? There's happened to police too! Because a deaf guy got shot by police in Oregon or washington, he couldn't hear police yell. That's huge concern!

Even if he did steal, that is not the way to handle the situation. Those security guards lack proper training and common sense to have done that. The deaf person was not resisting nor was he acting out and yet the security guard had a choke on him, which is completely wrong. Anyone would have fought back in that situation, but the deaf person didn’t. I hope those idiotic staff members get fired and have charges against them.

He had heart attack and was taken to hospital and died. Once a cop know that the person is deaf, she/he should have asked for an interpreter period due to ADA law.
