I learned this trick years back when riding in glamis while fishing the canal. Before you get airborn, hit the get the gas as hard as you can, lean as far forward as you can and lock up on the front breaks...try to have your feet off the pegs when you land. When you hit the sand, the rediculous position will put you back on your bike just right... hasn't only worked for me in the snow outside of brawley... (rum, coke and typing.)Minus my stupid comments, great jump on the video.

Maybe the clutch cable broke, because when he was hitting the rear brake it almost stalled mid air and looked like the rear wheel was still spinning, which makes it difficult to level out for the landing, hitting to hard on rear wheel equals crash most of the time. Crashing sucks, and this thanksgiving is my first time to glamis, hope I don't do this first time out.
