my friends? so unsupportive, my curve is 75 degrees and i need to have an op soon, so i am in constant pain, it never used to hurt so much but it does now. when told them that i was going to have the op., they got really upset, but instead of comforting my ME(crying) - i went to hug THEM. :/ one of my friends replied 'why does everything have to be so messed up?' !!when i offered for them to see my back so they could have a little insight of what i might be feeling, they said no. that hurt

Hi omg u sound so confident! I'm having my scoliosis surgery in about 10 weeks-3 months. I'm really scared mostly about the pain and the complications. Like you said, it's a really small chance of something going wrong but i'm still really scared. I makes me feel a lot better talking about the surgury so anyone feel free :) I would really like to know is the operation really painful?

@Hotmailgirl1997 Hi I had the op nearly 3 weeks ago now, all went great and I'm recovering really fast too so that's good! @Hotmailgirl1997 Oh I forgot to answer your question :D you don't feel anything during the operation of course and after it's very painful at times but mostly it's just uncomfortable. Once they get the right medication for you it's much better. The morphine didn't work well for me just made me sick so when it was changed the pain was better managed and I was soon able to get up and about!! xx

Oh thank you that helps a lot :) Im sooo scared :s but its good that ur doing well :) ill join your facebook pagexxx

And for me its like much more scary because I have a 40 degree agle but im not finished growing but they have to do the op now before it gets any worse and they have to fuse more disks. But then if they do it now, they parts they didn't fuse might get curvy and I might have to have a second operation if that makes sense :s

Oh and btw what was your angle after surgury and it is the same angle now or has it got worse?

@Hotmailgirl1997 Hi I don't know what the angle or curve is now after surgery but will find out at my 6 week checkup in a few weeks time! I don't think it will change now as I'm fused and have the rods in :) xx
