Mr. Burke, thank you for this series. For the last 10 years I've shown "Life Is No Picnic" as the introduction to my high school World History class. I want to challenge students to consider history not as a boring list of names and dates but as an interplay of ideas. This series demonstrates this with humor and imagination.
I've been long on watching, short on thanks. Thank you! For making these shows so accessible! This episode is perhaps a little more cohesive than some and so more enjoyable. They are all informative! Now for more greed: have you thought about (and I don't know if it's possible) putting up Jakob Bronowski's Ascent of Man?? I noticed in watching the f/u interview vids that he is carefully not mentioned as the progenitor of the venue.
People seem pretty cynical about the Nestle stuff. Feel free to go out an produce your own TV show, see how easy and free it is. So what if Nestle paid some money? The "math" is that this kind of thing isn't cheap to make, so you can either have a great show that is educational and fun, or you can have mind numbing junk. The very fact that these episodes are on here for free shows you how Mr. Burke ranks money vs. education.
@RedDaVincy Hi, I have just been introduce to Dr. Burke, and I wanted to know what philoshpy he espoused to. I believe it is anarchy, is it not ? As someone who is a Nihilist, I agree wholeheartedly with this video. watch?v=mB8_wPei2ZM
As you may have noticed, I fixed the aspect ratio problem for this episode. I may be able to do the same for all Connections³ episodes even with my very limited bandwidth so that (at the very least) we can see the episodes as originally intended and also with slightly higher quality.
Of course the remastered DVDs would surely be far better than this!

A beautiful woman clipping nylons to her garter belt and then driving off in a real Jeep. I guess learning can be fun after all.

@cubancigarcrisis Nestle inc is the largest food company in the world. Their parent company also owns media companies, do the math

That's why they're here. Or rather: So that you don't *need* to go to a school to view them.
