I actually think passers by said "Hey Clay, you're a lot taller than I thought you were". When Clay first became famous he was often shown next to 6ft4in tall Ruben. Many people seeing them underestimated Clay's height, which is 6ft1in.

The judge started speaking when someone else was still talking. She probably didn't realize it since she was on remote. Mike is a host and as part of his job wanted to make sure that only one person at a time is talking so that the speaker is easy to hear. I think he intended to give the judge a turn, but they run out of time.
