Assuming it's the Skyline series (not the 44-94 model), it's about the same price on the used market. Capable of the Stingray sound and soooo much more.
This should be favourited by any bass player learning slapping, great and I echo mehakim when he says that hes been looking for this technique for ages, thanks mate :O)
hey man great video i was just wondering about how long it takes to learn a technique like this? it clearly seems more difficult than the machinegun triplets which are relatively simple noce you've practiced it a little
The trick is getting the timing right between the two pulled strings. I think it took me a good couple of months to get it down properly. Saying that I really only practice once in a blue moon these days :o/
Hi there, no it's a new lakland 44-02 with the lakland pickups and preamp. Great bass, but the top end always has to be boosted fully to get a half-normal sound from it.
Just stumbled across this. Really well explained. Thanks.

far0n 4 years ago
oh! well i'm suprised, i've had bad luck with the new lakland pickups, what kinda amp are you running it through?
MoMotheBASSplaya 4 years ago
None, just straight into a little hifi amp through my pc. Then it's picked up by my fuji e900 camera.
far0n 4 years ago
Great lesson!!!

fragola282000 4 years ago
None at all, just direct into my pc, through a hifi amp and picked up by my Fuji e900 camera's mic.

gud one!!! how generous of you to share your knowledge
marcusIIIIwooten 4 years ago
Just bear in mind it's purely a right hand technique, the left hand pretty much does nothing.
