  • This is so beautiful I want to cry.

  • Ah, Jimmy Giuffre, who went on to become one of the great pioneer's of free Jazz, but a quiet freedom rather than the aggressive squawking variety. His later trio never made much of an impact with the public but was considered quite influention among musicians.

  • real class.

  • I wish there was footage of the rest of Giuffre's set here; this version of Train and the River is so hot, and none of the other live versions I've heard are this loose. Nevertheless, what a great intro to a great film!

  • This song is so fucking cool!

  • Takes me somewhere. Trains and rivers can do that

  • i already have been a lover of jazz at the time but this film gave me the ultimate push. the combination of music interpreted and carried forward and supported by creative photography fell right in place with my favourite interest, music and photography. and here we go again today. thank you for posting.

    saludos a todos
