I studied her mastery of the ending sequence in slow motion. It's not a Cobra Strike at all (like the coiled pinky of Horowitz). It's more like the 1" punch of Bruce Lee!
From just 1" above the keys, she strikes multiple keys w/ incredible force w/o a coil or backward travel. She's either been taught this or instinctively developed it herself!
Another thing is that she always completely relaxes her hand from the wrist out in a graceful swan like gesture of play! She's truly phenomenal!
I've been going back and forth between this and Dinu Lipatti's recording from 1950 and to be quite honest (although I thought he was beyond comparison on Ravel), she actually does this better.
Not as fast in the beginning, but that cobra strike at the end is incredible. She is absolutely amazing at this age. Shockingly so!....I'm simply stunned!!!
These videos are ingenious; appears she has gone into orbit attaining a different artistic level, like a young Scriabin or Lhevinne. Only written descriptions tell of their sound... at 12. She may have passed them, for now !
Merveilleuse interprétation le reflet du miroir inonde de votre sensibilité un paysage fantastique... J'aime particulièrement Maurice Ravel et je dois vous féliciter pour votre talent vous êtes une grande pianiste... Merci pour le partage.
Well done, A In! This Ravel piece from "Les Miroirs" is very difficult. You must have worked hard to master it.....One doesn't usually hear the "Alborada del Gracioso" played by a twelve year old pianist..... Congratulations.......
What happened to your account? .... :O ..amazed that you either closed your YT account or they closed it. Hope you aren't gone for good. You are always an inspiration to talents like A In!!!
I'm really impressed by this rendition. She plays with such confidence, poise, style and character here.
Where will you be in a year or 5 or 10, A In? You are so amazing today!!! :D

So so sad that the sound quality doesn't give fullness of your amazing playing!

Wonderful playing! Maybe I'm imagining things, but I feel like there's been significant improvement since your last post of this piece.
