It doesn't matter if sperm doesn't contain the same protein by weight as steak.
Also, he's not suggesting anyone eat it and he's not saying he does eat it.
He's suggesting that by not blowing his load he is saving energy, which he would have to reclaim (very slowly) by eating that variety of food, and waiting some time. He claims this practice makes him more aggressive.
Guess what, it's true. He's not deluding himself. You just wanted to enjoy belittling a man :)
reabsorb that stuff, I am not sure what he meant by that, If he thought of not releasing it at all we should give him credit though, just one load carries huge amount of energy, the body takes a while to produce that, and an 18 ounce dry aged cowboy cut prime buffalo rib eye will not replenish that I assure you, does not matter how much protein it has. You release za sperm you're history in the cagefighting business
Regarding the cage fighter 'reabsorbing' his semen, were the hell does he think it comes from? His body! He produces it! So not only is he not gaining a net benefit, but he is expending energy to have sex!
i love how people need to be reminded that athletes are superstitious. maybe we should all start wearing our baseball caps inside out for better health too.
Rubens Barrichello says in his PowerBalance testimonial, “It is amazing how I feel better, stronger and more flexible when I exercise.” Isn't it amazing how exercise will do that for you, though! (Apparently PB don't like people asking too hard questions and making them tell the truth - they don't have Australia on their list of countries where it's available.)
I'm on a diet so where can I get sugar-free maple syrup? Would it be okay to replace it with semen or would that be too high in salt? Maybe a sprinkle of charcoal would remove the bad sodium?
So many semen reabsorbing jokes, so little room. I can see the Reeses paraody now. "You got charcoal in my semen. You got semen in my charcoal. Mmmmmm!"
So to sum up your video: if your bad santa will give you health food, There is a new eating disorder that encorages breakfast, Guys can now tell ther girls that swallowing is good for them and rubber bands are keeping the world on its feet. Good post.
I think your math is a little off. 2000 x 15mg makes 30 grams, not 200... I really don't think that's what's in the "Lumberjack Slam", as the name would imply.
Those Power Balance bands remind me of those magic rope necklaces that a shitpile of baseball players wore during the playoffs this year. I can't believe in this day and age... .... *facepalm & shakes head*
But I feel like both you and the SGU make quick assumptions when it comes to any supplement that isn't used in a hospital.
From what I read, charcoal, (Activated Charcoal actually), when administered promptly and in sufficiently large amounts, appreciably reduces the gastrointestinal absorption of such drugs as aspirin.
But yea, that lady shouldn't be putting it in her food. Why take it if you haven't ingested any toxins recently, as it only works promptly.
@whatsolomon But you just debunked the claim yourself. The fact that charcoal can be used to good effect in certain circumstances doesn't mean that it should be used as a regular dietary supplement... unless you regularly eat poison.
@ghuegel I didn't know that the claim was that it was a regular basis detox. If so, then yea, that's insane. I got the impression from Rebbecca that activated charcoal has no benefits whatsoever and using it would make you look like you have a mental disorder.
Like I said, other times they are more up front with it. Though I love the SGU, I use melatonin, and I have heard them bash it.
@whatsolomon It depends on what you use melatonin for. It probably can help shift your sleep rhythm to help with jet-lag or delayed/advanced sleep phase syndrome, but only if it's timed right. Even then, it might have unfortunate side effects... it shrinks the balls of certain animals, and I don't think it's known what side effects it has on people.
I remember it coming up on the show but don't remember exactly what they said about it...
@ghuegel That's exactly what I use melatonin for. I time it correctly (2 hours before bed).
Anyway, I don't know of any side effects of melatonin in correct dosage. It is a bodily hormone so the .5 mg i take is not going to shrink my balls as far as i know.
Steve mentioned it once and quickly dismissed it saying "which doesn't do much."
But dude I'm not hating, just saying this isn't the first time they quickly dismiss supplements.
@whatsolomon I know you're not hating. But the evidence for how much it can help, as far as I know, is limited. I'm always skeptical of my own (and others') anecdotal "evidence", but I do think Melatonin has helped me with delayed sleep phase syndrome and jet lag.
The body tightly regulates endogenous hormones, so supplementation could have serious detrimental effects. The results of thorough research are important.
I think they're just going by existing evidence, which is limited.
The placebo effect has little to nothing to do with psychology, that's why it works on animals too. It's mostly about regression to the mean. Steven Novella has some salient things to say about this, you should look him up.
@rkwatson Isn't it like 4am? But it's good that you're praising His Noodleliness at all hours. He is a jealous Meal, and inflicts insomnia on any who don't worship Him when they'd rather be sleeping but can't.
Steven Novella even states 'mood' and 'belief' have a lot to do with why placebo seems to have some effect.
Very few studies have been done regarding animals and placebo. Animals can be psychologically 'tricked' to respond to placebos. Researches put medicine (say, immuno-suppression) in distinctively flavored drink [administered to dogs] after the meds were removed, the brain associated the taste, and some immune suppresion was noted
That study that determined that a placebo is effective even if one knows it's a placebo, I wonder if they tested to make certain that the people being tested knew what the word "placebo" meant.
Even allowing for the sake of argument that semen was some kind of wonder-food, why would "re-absorbing" it be better than not producing it in the first place, and why would the sex have to be unprotected for it to work? Gahh, the only part of this that makes any sense is your suggestion about truck stops.
Yea right Rebecca ... so you're saying the pureed carrot paste(Gerbers) that I keep in my ears while asleep allnight hasn't hightened my sense of hearing so much that now I can even hear what people are thinking? Everyone knows rabbits have big ears. It's so immature to be jealous Rebecca.
How about Susan Summers and all of her "bio-identical hormone" garbage? That woman peddles some dangerous stuff. Oestrogen has been shown to increase the risk of many cancers, stroke, heart attack, and dementia. It doesn't matter if it's "natural". Slapping the words "natural" and/or "organic" onto something does not invariably make them good for you.
Yeah, I heard he never had any problems with insomnia after that. But see, it probably wouldn't have helped him if it weren't organic AND all natural. You gotta have both.
If you look more into fat flush diet that Naomi Campbell and all of these other celebrities are peddling you will see just how ridiculous and made up it is. Supposedly, the maple syrup you use HAS TO be Grade B or else it doesn't work. There's probably some super secret compound only found in the Grade B stuff.
@GingerDemarque If it's just a quick weight loss thing, there's nothing new about drinking a whole lot and not eating-- You can flush out something like 10 pounds of water weight, but all you're doing is dehydrating yourself, and it all comes back as soon as you start eating normally, again. Just put all that syrup and lemon in your all natural green tea and enjoy it as a beverage, and never mind pretending it "burns fat". ;)
wow.. The movie even ends with a generous offer to have the evidence of creationism sent to me from "the good news magazine".. or an "NRGY balance wristband".. though choice :D
