@QuantomQuality I'm not sure if a tennis ball will fit in the 1 1/2 in barrel but you could easily make a adaptor to make the end of the barrel larger. Make sure the air seal around the grenade is tight so the gas doesnt escape instead of propelling the ball.

@ aderonn i watched the video 2 times and had one built in around 5hrs, its a little different being that i had a older model/version caulkin gun. on mine i didn't include the plastic nut or bolt, i just cut the metal disk off the end of the rod. it works great, and im getting ready to try to build the rpg-7 that u created

@numberboyowns $25 and then $35 to $60 for the shell (depending on which you get). The fps depends on the shell you use. Its normally around 200 to 250 though.

@delkore The airsoft grenade is filled with compressed gas (propane or co2) and when the button on the back is depressed, it releases the gas and launches the bb's out.

So, i made it. I added a few slight midifications. I replaced the hook and eylet with a door lock, the kind with the sliding bolt. i added a small rod on the bottom to stop the barrel instead of yarn. i used pop rivits and screws that i sanded down instead of electical tape. and i added a sight. Now...i just gotta buy a grenade....

I was wondering, do you have a modded grenade shell that could fire a tornado gas powered grenade? Y'know, the one that explodes on impact? If you did, that'd be cool. Put it in an MGL and let it rip.If you don't, would it be possible? I was thinking about modifying it so it could actually push out of an ICS GLM and fly instead of having it be a glorified shotgun.

@HFindley55 Its 1 1/2inch thick schedule 40 pipe. and you can probably get it at home depot. But i recommend just cutting the little disk/plate off, sanding the tip down, and wrapping it in a little tape to keep from scratching the back of the grenade.

@youputz1 It could happen but it takes quite a bit of force to fire the grenade and i doubt your going to should the weapon that hard. Plus you shouldnt be pushing the stock against you shoulder with much force at all.

Hey man. First, did you use a certain tool to sand out the pipe? and could I just use a 1 and 3/4 inch PVC instead?

@Alorticus I used my rotary tool with a sanding head to sand it out. You can use whatever you want. Im not sure if 1 3/4 will be too big tho and i figure its easier to sand away the inside of the pipe than to make the pipe walls thicker.

Yo, if you want a better grenade find a thin walled platic container that is cheap and readily available, I think the kind that hold bubbles would fir in your bore. Put in vinegar and fill with pellets. Put baking soda inside or inside of a container that would break on impact. You fire it, it hits, and it detonates (Though there would be considerable delay if you put the baking soda in a half closed ziplock bag or something).

@Hotdaxter12 the blast is always like a "shotgun blast" by extending the barrel you control how tight the grouping is.

@Hotdaxter12 a longer barrel will reduce the spread of the bb's, which could be good or bad depending on the area you play in. (better for longer ranges). and the range depends on the grenade you use. but the max range is probably 120ft. at that distance the bb's will be hitting the ground. effective range is 25 to 75ft.

@glenairsoft 1-1/2 inches is equivalent to about 37 or 38mm. pvc pipe is sold in sizes determined by inches, whereas grenade shells are by the metric term of milimeters. to get the 40mm grenade to fit in the 1 1/2inch pipe, you have to sand out 1 or 2mm of the inside of the pipe.

This is all great, but wouldnt a $20 airsoft shotgun from airsoft megastore be better? They have one for $20 that fires 14 BBs a shell rather than the regular 3. While the aorspft grenade launcher is $40 just for the shell and it only shoots one.

@Snapshot290 the shotgun your looking at holds 14 rounds in each shell, but only loads and shoots 1 bb at a time. the shell is just like a 14 round magazine. plus it wont shoot very far considering the price. the grenades on the other hand shoot anywhere from 1 to up to 200 bb's depending on the size of the shell and how much you put in. and can shoot close to or over 100ft with a great spread.
