  • Extremely swell. thx.

  • This is Ruth Young singing a duet with Chet Baker. (1977?)

  • Since you went away the days grow long...but I'll miss you most of all, my darhling.

  • Holy shit, that's awesome!

  • Nice flute by Jacques Pelzer

  • Chet Baker - Trumpet, Vocals

    Gianni Basso - Tenor Sax

Jacques Pelzer - Flute, Soprano Sax

    Bruce Thomas - Piano

    Lucio Terzano - Bass

    Giancarlo Pillot - Drums

    Ruth Young - Vocals

  • Autumn leaves have fallen, he still haunts us.

  • What happened to the time?

  • ill pay the extra 50 cents to play this on the bar jukebox. Though, I think the bar should pay me, considering the coming multitude of straight whiskey their gonna sell when i put it on

  • Chet Baker - Trumpet, Vocals

    Gianni Basso - Tenor Sax

Jacques Pelzer - Flute, Soprano Sax

    Bruce Thomas - Piano

    Lucio Terzano - Bass

    Giancarlo Pillot - Drums

    Ruth Young - Vocals

Cd: A mixed bag. On some cuts Chet sounds great, on others he struggles. Recording quality is poor on a few pieces. Ruth Young joins Chet on two pretty duets (#1 & #6), and he plays muted trumpet on a couple of tunes.

  • The girl is Ruth Young

  • . . There is very little material in this world that can bring about actual change in our state. This man left some some words and music that I feel are an effective tool for real change, and there lies great joy . .

  • i feel like this could have been used for a perfume ad on the telly booboo... which is not really a good thing. i dont know cwap bout jazz though.

  • o this is truly it

  • Who's the girl?

  • mmmm the real thing?

  • one cool cat.

the girl reminds me of bebel gilberto.

  • Sounds to me as if they both are singing this to each other for real! can feel the love

  • I think when someone like Chet Baker (in this case exactly C. Baker) dies (physically) is a big, a very big tragedy.

  • Give me Eva Cassidy!:P

  • hey isnt this ruth young? his girl?

  • wish the flute would come back in

  • who is singing?

  • @pwnmonkeyisreal it's "Ruth Young" who sings with chet baker.

  • what a voice! well, Chet doesn't need any comment

  • what's the name of the girl singing with my chet?

  • every time i listen to this song,i close my eyes and i'm automatically transferred in an old time new york hotel, during a rainy evening, staring outside the window.....then the song comes to an and and i'm back into our noisy and crappy times.thank you chet ,for opening a window to the dreamland-and thank you uploader ,for an inspired video.

  • Chet and young both sound fantastic. But the TONE of that bass. Incredible.

  • Zero dislikes.

  • Chet Baker..What A Man!

  • Chet baker..What a Man!

  • I LOVE JAZZ!! FUK YEA!

  • @faska82 ................you left out Bill Evans? check out 'midnight mood'

  • Chet Baker was a poet, shame he guzzled perfume to get drunk...

  • Chet is a great musician

  • @faska82 Absolutely true! :-) I love so much his music and his voice... Thanks, bye!

  • Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Oscar Peterson, Bob Berg, Stan Gets, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Eroll Garner, Tommy Flanaghan they are in my opinion Parents of jazz music.

  • @faska82 I would also add Django Reinhardt in this nonetheless great list :D

  • @faska82 no Bill Evans?

  • @ZRMDMK sorry this is my mistake :)

  • @faska82 what about ellington?

  • @faska82 and where are Bill Evans, Michel Petrucciani, Chick Corea?!

  • @faska82 what about that dude mingas, and that other dude blakey...they are silly ninnies of jazz?

  • Comment removed

  • @faska82 *Cough* you forgot Clifford Brown *cough*

  • @faska82 All those are pioneers, no doubt. But, I think you can go a bit further back: Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, then Benny Goodman and Louie Armstrong. You didn't mention at least those last two. But, worse yet, where's Count Basie and Duke Ellington? Also, the great Charles Mingus deserves a mention, along with Bud Powell. There's so many, right? Phew. Anyway, not trying to bug you. Just thought I'd mention a few others.

  • Ruth Young is the female vocalist with Chet

  • "BUT I MISS YOU MOST OF ALL

WHEN AUTUM LEAVES START TO FALL"

  • thanks for the info MrLuPereira

  • @55Zeros The Incredible Chet Baker Play and Sings

  • thats one of my favorit jazz standert, especially, becouse whatever Chet plays or sings, really goes to my heart.he was one of the most emotional musicians, thats one of the reasons why he was great.and why hes music's still alive, and will be...

  • Une très belle version...

  • Non esiste commento adatto... x tale prodigio... *____*

  • @ALENUSH3

  • @MrFUSELLA

Bellissimo commento, grazie! La vediamo allo stesso modo... :-)

  • A Chillingly beautiful rendition....

  • Chillingly beautiful.....

  • Chet where ever you are your music live for ever

  • He sure seems to like women. I don't usually think of thin men having much talent with females. They poke around more than anything else. Chet Baker seems like he was an exception to the rule.

  • Intense !!! ...

  • @Gypsy4119

Thanks" This tune is so lovely... Bye.

  • chet forever

  • just beautiful

  • Ruth Young

  • The key of the song is too low for Chet's beautiful tenor but it's perfect for the female vocalist. She's fantastic.. does anyone know who she is?

  • Ruth Young.......Amazingly good singer, and friend to Baker and a rich girl from Santa Barbara who really nails Chet and his slick b.s. which is hilarious in the Bruce Weber film.

  • I'd really love it if someone posted her song " fall in love to easily". Ruth is fantastic.

  • I will always be a Chet Baker Fan.

    Judy / NEW YORK CITY.

  • Complimenti all'autore del video...è davvero bellissimo...note uniche....

  • Grazie sereine23, gentilissima!

  • Pereira, thank you for posting this track that reminds me a good friend.

    congratulation or your musical taste.

    AndreA, Roma, Italia.

  • grazie Brando...
