The girl should have continued about the horrors of product testing on animals that is repeated every time they bring out a "new and improved". The barbaric practice is done for liability and not consumer protection. Another way animals always loose when it comes to humans. With confidence, hopefully when she is older she will learn more about it--then speak out.

No, you don't have to be a vegetarian, but that's not the point. Image is part of public speaking. Her's didn't match. Not many would take anything she said seriously after that.

P.S. Only about half of the animal skins are bi product of meat production. The other half are specifically hunted and killed for their skins alone.

No I do completely agree, she is clearly a moron, her topic was shallow and she didn't have a clue about what she's talking about and she seriously underminded her point with the leather, but I was just making the observation that you can be against animal testing and be a non vegetarian.

P.S Leather is a bi-product of meat, I am aware of other animal skins being used for fashion that are hunted for their skins alone, I'm not stupid, but I'm just talking about leather.

Got to love the kid for trying to address something that's very real and important as cosmetic testing however, you have to be well-versed and know the bs games. The typical one being "Do you wear leather?" Such crap because they can't think of legitimate questions and if you do wear leather that means they don't have to further think about the issue. It is a detracting cheap and simplistic question.

If the tables were turned these girls would be breathing a sigh of relief not ranting about how unfair it is. Be mildly disappointed and move on. Yes, Chloe did an oops talking about animal testing while wearing a leather jacket, but leather (hides) is a by-product of animals that were killed for other purposes -consumption by meat eating humans (unless it's croc, snake, etc.). Not quite the same as animal testing or wearing fur.
