The people in hell when then go to the lake of fire (the same place the devil and his angels will suffer for ever and ever). We also choose to go here. Penalty for MORTAL sin is deathm right. But for VENIAL sin the is punishment. But remember that all sins commited before baptism is forgiven you get baptized, but the sin commited after baptism requires ammendment and penance.

The people in hell when then go to the lake of fire (the same place the devil and his angels will suffer for ever and ever). We also choose to go here. Revelation chapter 20: verse 10 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (it also says that this is the place the unsaved will go, remember it's your OWN CHOICE were you want to go. So there is no evidence for there not being a Hell there really is no argument. The Bible is clear that hell excist and when it talkes about hell it mentions it as a physical place of suffering.

Also Hell in the Bible CERTAINLY did not copy off of Dantes Inferno. The Bible is really old (dead sea scrolls which date back over 2000 years match the king james bible which has hell in it) and dates farrrrrrrr farrr before Dantes Inferno. If anything Dantes Inferno copyied the Bible

Jesus also says that Hell was created for the Devil and his Angels not for us. It is the last place he wants us to go. He doesn't send us there we choose to go there it is our free will. He DIED for you so that you don't have to go there. There is no mistake that Hell is an actual place of suffering the BIBLE IS VERY CLEAR on this. There are many verses on this. Later though is the lake of fire which is the second death after the great Judgement. read my next post.

Hell is a place and it is terrible because you are sperated from God which means you don't want God and everything good comes from God. Hell is were God would leave you alone so everything bad is there. The Bible is clear that it is an actually place both of physical pain and mental pain. You are also very wrong when you say that there is no Devil the Bible makes it VERY CLEAR that there is a Devil. He is mentioned in Genesis,Job,Revelation, and many other books in the Bible. When i was a Child my mum used to tell me "To stay in bed or the monster under it will come out and get you" (Shes was an unusual mother) It worked becuase she used a scare tactic to get her way... Now life and hell are the same thing, "Stay good on earth else the scarey hell will burn you for eternity" same thing, it uses a scare tactic so people will bide by a certain set of guidelines. if you want to really convince people you should use something other than near death experiences, when your brain gets no oxygen you hallucinate if it's severe enough. As such, someone, especially someone who is religious, might experience hell, but that isn't to say no one else would.
how is it just that a finite lifetime of sin be paid for with an eternity of pain and suffering? that isn't justice by any stretch, it is simply fearmongering tactics used to try to get people to be good.

All I recall is a single, timelss flash of black... and then I was awake again, as if the six hour surgery never happened. Kinda makes you think. you go to purgatory after the judgement if the Just Judge find out that you have some venial sins commited after baptism and that you have not repented well and did not make penance for them. The Judge then give you some time and some torments to suffer in purgatory then you will go to Heaven.
Remember that "charity covereth a multitude of sins." (1 Peter 4:8). So you can do charity when your still alive and scape purgatory.

You go to purgatory afte the judgement? Really? That is not what I learned in the 8 years I went to Catholic school. We were always taught that we go there BEFORE we are judged. "If the Just Judge finds out"? Are you saying that there are things you have dont that Jesus doesent know about? So, Jesus, the loving God that He is, is going to punish us? For penance? So that your sins can be forgiven? You do realize that that is the reason Jesus died on the cross in the first place? So that our sins can be forgiven. As the bible says, all we have to do to be forgiven is repent of our sins. There is no punishment we can take in order to have our sins forgiven. The penalty of sin is death. That means hell. Jesus died, so we dont have to.

Penalty for MORTAL sin is deathm right. But for VENIAL sin the is punishment. But remember that all sins commited before baptism is forgiven you get baptized, but the sin commited after baptism requires ammendment and penance.

God's Mercy can be just as great as His Justice. There's a heaven and a purgatory also, not just a hell. Purgatory involves punishment, but most importantly, it involves *hope*. No hope in hell.
