  • brilliant,great memories

  • They will allways be great !!

  • While Phil Lynott was alive, no matter the lineup, the guitarists were A+ !!! I mean, Gary Moore, Brian Robertson, Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, John Sykes.. can't get better than them... and Brian Downey is freaking amazing on the drum kit!

  • haha singer is pikey

  • whats the first song?

  • @shortieetnies yeah me too, never heard that one

  • phils my favorite indeed and many a source of inspiration, but who ever mixed this video was either few beats off at the time or drunker then 2 coats of paint when they slapped this together back in the day...(chuckles)

  • here's another random...apparently my 1973 Cherry Sunburst Les Paul Deluxe was Scott's previously....(Ser. No. 773456)

    Woody

  • completely random here but my dad back in 78 looked exactly like Lynott

  • Yes

  • I don't care that the audio is a bit off timing. this is still a great video with outstanding sound. such a great band!!!

  • he always reminded me of a cross between hendrix and bolan. a strange meeting i know, but a strange complex guy he certainly was !

  • Comment removed

  • yes but you must be blind or def, the video dasn't match with sound,...crazy...

  • Yes, audio is laging by about a second.

  • Thank you for sharing your talent with us RIP Philo xxx

  • what a showman, performer, songwriter,,,Phil lives on ,,,rock on tin lizzie..aye!!!!!!!

  • Magum Opus! Thin Lizzy was amazing they dont needed fireworks or all that crap that used most of the band on the 80's to make a hell of a show Phil was an amazing performer ...is so sad that he had died R.IP. Phil

  • Wow

Phil looks banged up in this

  • is it THAT hard to make the sound fit with the image ?

  • The greatest band ever. Phil Lynott may no longer be with us but his music will live forever. KEEP ON ROCKIN

  • youre a lucky mother fucker i wish i was around in the seventies

cowboy song is perfection in music

  • SWEEEEET! nice visual below me

  • Killer version of Holy War!

  • Thin Lizzy deserves all merits like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, etc, becouse this band wrote the most fantastcs songs in ROCK/HEAVY METAL music.

    HAIL LYNOTT(RIP),MOORE,GORHAM,DOWNEY

THIN LIZZY The masters of ROCK.

  • The audio is slower than the video. But it is still great anyway :)

    -Sweden-

  • And want Phil to live!!

  • yes man, youre goddamn right!

  • Thanks. For some reason I wrote "And" instead of "I" :P

  • I love this 'Thunder & Lightening' tour. ( and actually met Phil in Liverpool) John Sykes is fantastic and you can see Phill is excited about his playing as anyone else. there's one song wwhere Phil looks over as if to sya 'F'''ing Hell!' RIP Mr Lynott as always.

  • Wow..I didnt know you could post a video this long !

  • I was thinking the same thing. Why cant more post longer videos?

    -sweden-

  • Thank you fore good pt1 and pt2.

    -Sweden-

  • John Sykes, unbelievable shredding, pre-shred days!

  • Thin Lizzy, the best ever hard-rock band. RIP Phil, you were the best. Loved their Gibson Les Paul duos.

  • I agree with 1dee she hurt him real bad. R I P Phil.

  • Phil died of a broken heart.

  • Broken live, more like

  • He may ahve taken drugs i agree there, but after his ex wife was having affairs what else can you say.

  • Phil started taking heroin around 1978/79, it had more to do with his buying into the rock and roll lifestyle than anything to do with his wife. At the end of the day, it was Phil who fucked up his life and left us all in mourning.

  • I agree. Good call.

  • Why did all my rock heroes have to die young - what a waste - Phil you were a rocking, romantic hedonist who paid very sadly for the rock roll mythology........ Imagine you and Hendrix together...I was 1 when Jailbreak was released just wished I could have seen you live.

  • the name of the song is THE HOLY WAR

  • Is this concert for sale?

  • w´hat is the name on the first song they play?

  • Anyone got the last show he made before he died?

  • Question: these guitar harmonies, were they the first to do that?

  • allman bros used to do that, differently of course

  • Thats good :-)

    -Sweden-

  • what is the first song they are playing on this vid?

  • holy war

  • Brian downey recently played a gig in memory to phil lynott

  • Gary Moore & Friends (Thin Lizzy) - 2005 - One Night In Dublin - A Tribute To Phil Lynott; August 20th, 2005, what would have been Phil's 56th birthday

  • ive got it its amazing johns not on it tho :(

  • i personaly think his reclusive nature is down to humbleness..he was a childhood friend of philo and feels it necessary not to take advantage of the lizzy name as was phil the type to take pride in his own work and not others - but dont get this twisted - im the first buying tickets to any lizzy gig nowadys

    haha

  • This is in responce to the first comment here -

those who wish to know where brian downey is i have the answer...i think people see him as a bit of a recluse(rumours have it that he's a part-time painter)
