While Phil Lynott was alive, no matter the lineup, the guitarists were A+ !!! I mean, Gary Moore, Brian Robertson, Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, John Sykes.. can't get better than them... and Brian Downey is freaking amazing on the drum kit!

Phil started taking heroin around 1978/79, it had more to do with his buying into the rock and roll lifestyle than anything to do with his wife. At the end of the day, it was Phil who fucked up his life and left us all in mourning.
