  • I'm hearing this song for the 2nd time because it's THAT GOOD!.

  • Writing melody takes enormous talent. 99 percent of popular music today doesn't even come close. This is a wonderfully composed song and the movie of the same title is a lot of fun !

  • @alexalex3131

Couldn't agree more alexalex131..music seems to be a forgotten leasure for younger generations.

The Turtles dvd is great and contains their singles with videos, plus in depth history of the band, by the band.

  • Guide for the Married Man was directed by Gene Kelly, with Walter Matthau and Robert Morse (who 40 years later plays Bert Cooper on Mad Men).

  • Great! Now I'm gonna have to try and find this old movie... Excellent vocals, as always...love these guys.

  • fantastic! Thanks for posting

  • I saw this when it was originally aired on TV. I think it was on the Smothers Brothers show. They also sang "Happy Together." They were a great group.

  • : D

  • Great clip, ChuckBenjamin, thank you.

  • Love this song by the Turtles and the movie is awesome starring Walter Matthau! One of my favorite retro flicks of all time! Cool 1960's song....!!

  • Agree totally. Why would you cheat on Inger Stevens though. The epitome of hot!!!!

  • I didn't know Jonah Hill was in the turtles.....

  • great song a guide for the married man is my fave film...and linda harrison is beautiful as miss stardust :)

  • Awesome song and clip. :-)

  • good shit

  • Wow! He attacks the "baby" with the bottle!

Notice how the singers launch into some little dance right when they switch to another shot of the dude messing with the vacuum cleaner. It seemed like they jumped the gun a bit, so now the world will never know what wonderful gift from Terpsichore it has been denied.

    BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!

  • John Barbata on drums! Killer!

I recall seeing this clip on a TV variety show, but can't remember which -- there were so many back then!

  • Great John Williams song! Yup...that's the STAR WARS composer who wrote this.

  • this inspired my playersguide !

  • I first saw "A Guide For The Married Man" on television in the early 70s and it's remained my favorite comedy ever since.....and made me a lifelong Walter Matthau fan!

  • super movie... especially loved Elaine DeVry.

  • I did too she reminded me of Lee Meriwether doing Catwoman in the 1966 Batman movie!! One stunning lady indeed!

  • @bobbyfozz

You're right, movie was good, but who?

  • Good ol' Flo and Eddy! This might be from the Smothers Brothers Show. I feel sorry for that little baby at the end.

  • This was from the 1967 film Guide for a Married Man and in 1968 the zany The Impossible Years came out. Search for that on youtube. The 60s was a great time to be a teen, I loved it!

  • WHAT TV SHOW WAS THIS FROM?

  • I would follow their advice....to the letter

    Suerte y Salud

  • what was this from?

  • Not sure... my dad collected music for me while I was in the Air Force ('66-'70). I didn't see the movie until I was out

  • Check IMDB "The Guide For The Married Man" was a wonderful film from the sixties.

  • @lebow1 It's the theme song for a movie of the same name - A 'sex' comedy consisting of a series of vignettes about relationships and cheating within them -The narrator character probably inspired HOW I MARRIED YOUR MOTHER's Barney.

  • this was a theme song composed by John Williams for the movie "Guide for the Married Man". The Turtles sang it
