  • LMAO your awesome hat and garb! - thank you for answering my email :D

  • hi mate yes thats what i do and yes that dos work well.. djsteve

    small venues discos

  • I normally pick a track that has a slow ending before I slow things down. About 30secs before the end I say its going to slow down after this track, track fades out nice and slowly and then pick a slow track with a gradual intro fade. Works a treat for me.

  • Indeed, good tips! keep up the good work!

  • Yes I agree to do a transition like that ,

You need to usage of your good MC skills .

    -Dj Louie Mixx

  • thanks alot. very helpful. saludos desde mexico

  • I would be looking ahead and if I knew the time was coming to slow things down id choose progressively slower tracks (2 or 3) to slow everyone down... smdj

  • Good one I will try that next time I slow it down....... :p

  • good point

  • That's pimp!...broadcasting to the world in your robe. NICE!

    love the videos.

    PEACE from Las Vegas

  • Hi J, Here's one for you, if you are doing a mobile disco, in this age of MP3.., and you get a request to play something a bit specialist or a Chart topper from a few years ago, punters will expect you to have it ! no excuse that you did not bring the track along, cos lets face it you can now store 1000's plus tracks on a laptop! so punters expect everything at your fingertip I-POD (so to speak) cannot please every body though ..

  • lolololo

  • Powerdowns are great too.

  • yes that's what i believe too, it creates drama and the dacers (if you've caught them)will expect something new but brilliant.... like when you watch a movie when you know something scary is going to happen in a second you get all hyped up and you're just waiting for something to happen

  • maybe you can try to trow in somekind of explosion or big crash sample (from other deck) at the end of fast track, then fade out fast track while that sample playing. of course that sample must be long enough to fade out fast track, change cd/vinyl with slow track and at the end of sample bring it in. just an idea..

  • you could also make a clear end of the track, for example with slow vinyl stop or skid effect. Then start the slow track and talk a bit on the mic during the intro.

  • that a good idea thanks

  • i would put on some heavy metal.

  • just reading the comments, until I hit this one. made me chuckle.

  • i put a song with a high beat and then work my way down to a slow song but hat to play in a weddings i dont rely know so eny help ther

  • thats what i do.

  • I had the exact same idea before I even heard it in this video. Its often good to throw in a joke perhaps or dedicate songs to particular individuals names. Theres nothing funnier than having a song played for you that has actually been requested by another person.

  • Jonathan, I would like to say thank you for doing what you do. I am starting to get into DJing, I was bored one day and found your vids on you tube. I have watched all your videos pertaining to DJing and some that just made me laugh my A** off. Again thank you for taking your personal time to help out other people...

  • yea i feel the same aswell thanks John

  • yeah i think thats how i would do it ;)

  • i've never thought about that way. i'll try that out. is that a new robe btw????

  • Good Point.

    good advice!

  • emmmm right,

love your toy by the way.

  • Do you get your hats wholesale?

  • No silly , i have my own hat factory in the bathroom!

     j lol

  • I think you are a bit drunk. LOL
