  • Great presentation!

  • exspensive but the e4200 is bomb i have one runs ps3 and trendnet n together fast as hell

  • Hey great shirt N.W.O

  • I have been having problems with my wireless internet connection in my bedroom until today when I went to Best Buy and got the Netgear WiFi extender. Now I have no problems at all. All you do is plug it into your wall and the wires from your outlet also become the antenna. It was only $69.99. Hey if you're having signal problems, get the Netgear WiFi extender.

  • Linksys WRT110 is a total fail! as it is suppose to remove dead spots it sacrifices performance. Anyone with this router mots likely half ta reset it 3 to 47 times a month if lucky once a month, most of the time i spend is debugging this dang thing. 13 out of 100 / 1 out of 10 / 0 out of 5

  • Asus RT-N56U or the D-Link DIR-825 Xtreme N are my choices

  • Belkin N1 scored among the worst of all routers.

People with low IQs should not talk about technology.

  • UPDATE::

I purchased the NetGear WNDR3700 from Amazon and I gotta say I am THOROUGHLY impressed!! I can't say enough about this router. I havent had a SINGLE issue with it yet and it has so many options I can't even fit it in this comment box

I give it 5 of 5 stars and suggest if you have the extra dough, spend it on this router because it has solved every issue I had AND THEN SOME. Runs pure N with dual band 5G capability - it is FAST

  • Get a Dual-band router. But You'll have to get a dual-band wireless adapter for your laptop as well. If you use the 5.0 GHz band all the time, then the microwave won't interfere with the signal.

  • That router you hold in your hand i have the same !! I hate that router it sucks.

  • I hear the netgears wndr4000 is good and also the asus n56 something is ok too

  • im using a low grade netgear and never had to reset once cause I'm running on camcast mid grade Internet service but planning to get the netgear wndc4000 I think or the asus n56

  • Great video. Same problems. Reset reset reset!

  • Read what PC Mag has to say about the NetGear WNDR3700, then what CNET has to say about the coming WNDR3800...

The 3800 has clear channel technology that wireless microphones have been using in arenas and presentation venues for years.

Basically, when your devices are idle, the router tests all possible channels and switches to the channel with the least contention.

That helps it to always work and presumably to have to reset it MUCH less, but we'll see.

  • I have a e3000 linksys wireless router. It's been good for gaming. But when I tried to download a movie to my iPod, it stops halfway saying I was disconnected from the Internet.

    Can anyone help?

Do I disconnect my router and reconnect it? Or something else I need to do?

  • I have the e3000 linksys wireless router. I was trying to download a movie but it stops like half way and it fails. It said that I was disconnected from the Internet.

    Anyone can help please?

  • I've gone through 5 different wireless N routers (but not the Airport Extreme) and I've got good tips because of it. But I've got a Mac so I'll shut up.

  • the three best routers of today are cisco linksys e3000 netgear n600 rangemax dualband gigabit and finally d-link xtreme dir 655 correct me if I said one 0f those wrong

  • Why can't I get a router with 1000 Mbps for wireless ports and not Ethernet with 10 of them or more.....is that asking for too much? I mean fuck Ethernet I don't care about it unless I'm setting up my router. And year netgear is a piece of shit, I reset my modem and router 3 times a day each! And they bout netgear. Call me ignorant but that's the only thing I know. I would get apple, but what fuck! I have to sell my ass before I could afford that shit....(no homo)

  • If you wanna do online gaming, forget about Netgear, they are absolutely HORRIBLE.

the router was designed to get great speeds, but not for lots of connections, like online gaming, and it will lag like hell. I would go for Linksys, these have a good reputation for online gaming.

  • @WimDeVolder - I agree man, I've just purchased a high-spec Wireless N Netgear router with Gigabit networking but it's just freakin terrible at everything!

  • I trying my best to wait for the Netgear wndr3800 but I might get the Linksys e4200 if Netgear doesn't hurry up. Do some overtime Netgear vacation when your finished!!

  • @Jeahavee MY EXPERIENCE WITH e4200: works GREAT with my iMac. my wireless printer worked at the same distance of my iMac (40-50 feet+2walls+table), but after new firmware, the distance is too far. Bad/no/sloppy connection to PS3, whether its close or far. WIRED ethernet connected to PS3 is ALSO UNRELIABLE. connection to my sony vaio worked great. to my brother's hp, SLOW and/or nonexistant.

summary: WORKS PERFECTLY WITH MY IMAC.

work(ed) with my canon mg6120 but now its "too far".

  • @Jeahavee have you heard anything on when the 3800 is coming to market?

  • @StonewallUSMC Haven't a clue I know the 4000 is out

  • If you want a good router with good gaming service and have internet all the TIME! you should go with the Linksys E2000 or something in the nature of linksys!

I have the linksys E2000 and it works Great! if you need help hooking it up, WELL im the guy for you.. • E3000 here.

  • Im also trying to find the best router and modem. Was looking at the WNDR3700 and WNDR37AV. I have been reading reviews(about the WNDR3700) and seeing a lot a bad ones about the connectivity and customer support(HORRIBLE). Anyone know a really good router(from experience)?

  • linksys cisco e3000 wireless n router. awesome!

  • cisco linksys e3000 router

  • best router, is the cisco linksys e3000, it is just the best router for the money, it is $180 but here is a website to get it.

  • e3000 so far so good $149.@ staples

  • @damfree72 Yeah... and at Walmart BUT ebay has them new for $100-130 (worth waiting).

  • @Jeahavee what router did you get im shopping for the best router my self i have the same problems im so tired of reseting and i always loose connection tired of it hit me back i have no spending limits so what in your opinion is the best router thanks rodney

  • @gilvinsets Asus RT N56U

  • @Jeahavee

Thats the SAME router I'm looking at getting. How do you like it?! I love how it's got two USB ports.

  • @damfree72 If you want the best in Wireless, then there is only one choice. NETGEAR. They invented this sport and NETGEAR has remained committed to one thing, providing the highest performing most innovative products for the home.

  • Well, what did you end up buying? And has it resolved any of your issues? I have a belkin pre-n router that is absolutely USELESS in the realm of xbox. Forget restarting it, that's not an issue - connecting to anything and having it NOT fail is a BIG issue.

Xbox Battlefield Bad Company 2 - works flawlessly with this router (no lag)

Xbox Black Ops - Unplayable with SAME exact settings (wireless or plugged directly into the router)

Figure that one out ... I'm with you man - I HATE routers

  • @ThatWelshman Yeah I had a minor set back and I'm 1 product away from getting a router. I'm just glad they have it at the BIG Walmart so I won't need to wait. It'll be a surprise, but the router's price isn't any different on ebay. That'll be my only hint. I gotta get a printer which is cheaper on ebay then it was on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

  • @Jeahavee Solid copy. Keep us posted on what ya end up doing ... also - Amazon might be worth trying - I use Amazon for almost everything and it saves me the big bucks

  • @ThatWelshman ROFL Amazon. there a person on here that had a 3 fail bad time with Netgear WNDR3700. I watched his video and found out he ordered them fom Amazon... then I researched it further then found out that Amazon doesn't always send the right router. As in it won't be a router made for the USA and there for won't work in the states. So as my instinct's tell me I don't trust Amazon with electronics.

  • You should hold on to that WRT54G and flash it with the DD-WRT firmware.

  • @Jeahavee .^-^ your funny.am sory.i am with a broadband or lan network

i have a modem and a router from netgear.router is 4 years old.i have to learn lot of things.netgear router.i had a linkys to did t work mi provider support this router.

netgear.i had 2 netgear wrireless device orginal and one i bought seperat 1 linky broke.sweex am losing connection.i have now sitecom 300 N device.its doing a good job.

  • The NETGEAR WNDR3700 is the most powerful router on the market, capable of streaming HD video through concrete walls. Dedicated Video Mode, Gigabit Ports, Green Features and sooooo much more. I know you hate routers now, but it's only cause you have not found the right one.

  • wndr3700 never reset ive had for 2 months. plus allows remote access to the hard drive attached to it.

  • I take it the linksys cisco router is not exactly top of the line. I don't understand why these routers have such horribly short shelflife.

  • take a look at netgear wndr3700 or wndr37av. I personally got the wndr37av for my needs. it does support wins, linux and the mac osx. ( oh and in 64 bit). its got great Qos. I also do PC gaming and console gaming with my netgear router. Also running my WMWare lab with that router. so far no issues

  • I have a dir-655 A4 firmware: 1.21 and its rock solid to me.. the new dir-655 A4 firmware 1.32 sucks and is required to either go back to 1.21 by using a euro firmware, followed by the N/A firmware. (search it on google and it will be the first one). OR the new dir-655 B1 firmware 2.00 (dont know if its good cause its new to america. I heard that router is FAST (fast npu and large ram). If not then yah wndr3700 is nice.. and its dual band!

  • Can you do a version of this video, but WITHOUT background music?
