They were known as the Afghan Mujahideen when aided by the americans. Holy Warrior was a term deployed by the press. And they were fighting what was perceived to be foreign invader in their country.

Terrorism loosely the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious. When these holy warriors are attacking the US, they are indulging in terrorism. I hope you can see the distinction.

The people are 100% right. Its democracy and the people have a say. I know and every Pakistani know that the Taliban are rude but they will not involve anything that kill the innocent people. And am not the supporter of the Taliban. It is very interesting and no one in the media has ever pointed what Obama said yesterday. I've heard negative things about Pakistan during my youth but I never once saw it as a nation of corrupt savages, since the government is the one that advocates and conducts militant rule instead of democratic and peaceful rule. People in India will be incline to view the Pakistanis as war-hungry individuals when all they get is brutality. It's a shame some Pakistanis will blame the Indian government for their explosions and such when it can be placed on Al Qaeda, which is mostly in Pakistan!

When it comes to terrorism the one thing I know is India has never once launched a full-scale terrorist attack on foreign nations. It even prefers to avoid nuclear war.
