@NERALY123 there was only discomfort for about a week after they put them on because my tongue was getting used to having braces on the backside of my teeth and my teeth already started moving. :)

@NERALY123 it didn't hurt when they put it on and it took a few days to get used to having braces on but I'm SOOOO happy that my teeth are finally getting straight - I just need to remember to wear my bands so I don't delay having my braces taken off any longer ;)

I need one implant on the upper jaw and 3 implants on the lower jaw..-4 missing teeth-

Is it better to get Incognito first to straighten my teeth before getting my implants? Or could it be done after I get the implants? what is usually suggested?

@torero34 Yes, it’s best to do the braces first before placing the implants.

@JayRedzNYC this is a great question and there are just a few factors to consider when it comes to the payment of your braces and on what you can afford - your Treatment Coordinator at the Orthodontist you choose to go to should be willing to work with you and what you can afford during the time that you are in treatment. You cannot get Incognito on just a couple of teeth although there are other lingual (behind the teeth) braces that we use for limited treatment (a few teeth) called In-Ovation MTM. Incognito is a custom appliance so it usually reduces the treatment time. The first week there is some discomfort because your tongue has to get used the braces being the backside but after that I didn't have any issues.

Hey there, is it possible to get these on a couple of teeth only? And do they act faster than normal braces? I.e would you need them on for a shorter period? Was the application really painful?

For the first week there is some discomfort because your tongue has to get used to the braces being placed behind your teeth, but its just like if you had braces on the front and your gums and lips have to get used it from what I'm told.

ive had these since last october and holy sh*t they reall work the treatment ends this october but i could get them removed now and would have a gorgeous smile and trust me my teeth were really overcrowded and crooked i had to go to my orthodontist today because a band came off last night between the gap at the back were the teeth got removed to make more space cost me 4 grand and it was worth every penny.Get them.

YILVB - Yes we could use the Incognito with a cap on a tooth. You would need to make sure all cavities (possible holes in the teeth)are taken care of prior to taking any impressions for the Incognito and a very recent cleaning too. A lot of people have this gag reflex you just need to relax and concentrate breathe in and out through your nose. I hope this helps.

Would i be able to get this, if i have a cap on my tooth?

and also, i'm not sure if i have holes in my teeth and if i do would they fix it before the braces? I've had very bad experience with holes in teeth and getting half my tooth kicked out, :(

also, would it be difficult to get this done if you have gag-reflex?

This is actually a perfect type of braces for people with a small mouth and crowded teeth as they are 'customized' to the size of the teeth. They could also be used on a tooth after it's had the root canal therapy.

@docbowtie There is some discomfort but you get used to it and having teeth that look good when I smile is something that I always wanted. I would rather have a little discomfort knowing that I will end up with a perfect smile and not be embarrased to smile when I am with my friends or family. Hope this helps :)
