I think I know what Kirk talks about, it's a video that show some laboratory experiment with Russian scientists, they change the DNA code of a frog embryo through laser so that it changed into salamander!!. It was old documentary film which is looks real, but what they do is freakin unbelievable but also reasonable (well I'm not DNA scientist so I don't understand if such thing is possible or not). Maybe it's real or just some propaganda movie, I don't know either.
