Yes, the United States played better through the majority of the game, but Japan wanted to win more than the U.S. It clearly shows by Japan's late goals in regulation and in OT. Ask around the world and almost anyone will say the USWNT is the best in the world, but they did not finish that game playing their all. I think they got a little over-confident. Don't be mad at Japan just because they beat the United States in the final.

@ctfujiiapple I wouldn't say Japan wanted it more. Both teams equally wanted to win. The problem was the U.S. didn't put away their shots in the 1st half. After Japan tied the first time it shook them up a bit. Their goal was to win the game and do it in 90 min. When they had to go into OT and Japan tied again they started to feel the pressure. When it got to PKs you could see the anxiety and desperation in their body language. You might say the U.S. wanted it too much.

i love usa (and i usually always root for brasil) but look at cristiane's eyes when she walks up. fucking cold, hard-ass, look u dead in the eye stare. i loved it. when anyone usually walks up to take the PK they will NOT look at the keeper. u saw it in Boxx. i wanted USA to win no doubt and LOVED the match. its still on my DVR, but i loved the dead eye stare.

Enough with the kitchen jokes! These aren't the frickin 1900's anymore. Things have changed. The USWNT in this game refused to lose, and had so much heart and that's why they won this game. They never gave up. So before you start saying these ladies should be in the kitchen, look at what your doing and what they're doing. They're representing the U.S.A. and playing world class athletes, and you're sitting watching them on YouTube. I don't think anyone is in a position to insult them.
