It's easier to just do a big pull down the wall instead of rubbing it. The bottle, when rubbed against the wall creates static so the bottle remains "glued" to the wall because of the difference between negative and positive particles between the wall and the bottle ._. Anyways, like I said it's easier to just do a fast pull down with the bottle touching the wall.

It only works with non-stick paint. It's not heating up, it's called shear-thinning a bit like thixotropy, the paint is becoming liquid and then resetting, holding the bottle.

you need a painted wall or fence or siding of a house anything with paint.... it doesnt need a corner rub it fast with a lot of pressure on the paint and it warms the paint enough for hte bottle to stick... great party trick

No it's actually not. I've done this trick. The friction from the beer bottle melts some of the paint as it goes by and it causes the bottle to stick to the wall. try it.
