Listening to tunes from the first three gens makes me realize how the majority of music in D/P/PL sucked.

2 - R/S/E - The beginning is pretty bad, but then the music starts to get cool

3 - D/P/Pl - It's the most different, but it's really cool

I've been playing since the beginning, and I still feel that the games weren't 'perfect' until Diamond/Pearl's generation. There's a lot they got wrong and mistakes they made in the older games that took years to remedy. They finally did so with Gen 4.

Back in my childhood days, everyone was a geek for Pokemon. Can't tell you how many friends and enemies I made just by playing via link battle with Blue, Yellow, and Gold... then everyone got Ruby/Sapphire before me, and by the time I got Ruby/Sapphire, everyone was starting on Diamond/Pearl.

Still, you probably don't see kids settling debates with pokemon battles anymore.
