I know several others personally, who had kids who have been sexually abused, beaten, given alcohol and drugs, and ended up in foster care to suffer even more. It's sad, but that is the REALITY of the world we live in. Focus more on teaching young people about safe sex, NOT ABSTINENCE and abortion wont be such an issue.

I'm all for girls that start their mentruation being placed on birth control. I know some may not agree with that. What is the down side of pro life? After conception a woman would no longer have a choice in whether or not to carry and deliver a child based on the view that the child is alive and it's life should not be purposely aborted. Many people believe in the sanctity of life.

Planned parenthood and the government hide that fact behind the issue of womens rights to choose, don't let him make an ass out of you, or a victim of your children. I'm all for girls that start their mentruation being placed on birth control. I know some may not agree with that. But I think we would all agree that girls under the legal drinking age do not need to be having children, let alone getting knocked up then having to abort or put up for adoption. Some will say well thats insane. But we prevent disease with vaccines. Why wouldn't we prevent unwanted pregnancy. Birth control should be readily available and even over the counter.

My personal view point is that a woman should have the right to choose if she becomes pregnant or not. But abortion should only be legal by doctor recommendation. In this day and age there is simply no excuse for a woman who doesn't want children not using preventative methods to insure she doesn't conceive the children she doesn't want, therefore even requiring an abortion. Again that's my view point on the ethics of the matter.

To argue that an embryo isn't a live is ridiculous because if it weren't alive there would be no need for said abortion to take place. The whole point of an abortion is to extinguish a life already created. If you do not terminate it then it will continue to develope first in the womb and then out of it. What is the down side of pro life? After conception a woman would no longer have a choice in whether or not to carry and deliver a child based on the view that the child is alive and it's life should not be purposely aborted. Why do people feel so strongly that an embryo/fetus/child life shouldn't be purposely aborted? I believe people feel that after conception a new life has been created. Many people believe in the sanctity of life.

Why is this a good thing? Once conception occurs a human life is beginning. (you can argue technicalities if you choose. But explain why if uninterupted by an abortion you get a child if its not a child. Its just simple biology. Besides I want to discuss the ethics.) Life is scared to us, therefore so is the preservation of life. Many people feel that abortion is unethical.

Also if her life were in jeopardy I wouldn't expect her to carry a child against her will in favor of the childs life over hers. If the expecting mother found that her child was severely disabled or deformed I wouldn't expect her to carry the child against her will. Well how about a woman that just strictly doesn't want a kid? What then? I don't believe a woman should be forced to have a child, however, I'd like to discuss the ethics of that particular situation.
