  • Cool video, great tips on prosthetics! Check out my videos of my costumes sometime. I design screen accurate costume/life-sized replicas. Subbed you! ;)

  • when it was in fast forward and you were talking, you sounded like cousin It from the Addams family

  • How do u take it off D:

  • oh my god i go to that walmart....

  • This is a great tutorial! I'm a thriller dancer girl this year and we need to do our own zombie makeup and I have NO experiance or ideas of how to do it. Thanks so much :)

  • but win in the middle of youtube like this youwintube

  • UGH. tht looks real lol gross lolz btu love the video! xD

  • how about yr not that ugly gosh yr a dike

  • What about Scar Wax Latex Prosthetics? I know how to do tissue paper, but the effect is no where near as great if you ask me. Anyways, I plan on making pieces out of Scar Wax with Latex Liquid which is going to take alot of time since I'm going to be Freddy Krueger. So I want to have it done a few days before Halloween. I mean with Tissue paper LL prosthetics, all you do is apply LL to the skin first, and then keep layering it with Tissue paper and LL, but how does this worth with scar wax?

  • @Donatello97 For freddy just use lots of liquid latex and the when it's dry, poke holes in it and stretch those poked holes out and mangle them a bit and some scar wax if you need it.

  • im trying 2 find nose/scar wax but i cant find it. any suggestions? i tried spirit, party city, dollar stores, but nothing, i need it for my resident evil zombie costume.

  • @ChristheKishin Google search for local costume shops in your area and call them up to see if they carry any. :)

  • @TanzMitRobot party city and spirit are halloween stores

  • @ChristheKishin Ebay. *LATE REPLY* o:

  • Baby oil will help smooth out the wax.

  • @beaujames87 I heard petroleum jelly will help do the same, but I have yet to try either out. Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a go next time I do some zombie makeup.

  • Lmao

  • you have a Dorito in your face:D

  • how to get it off?

  • remember you can never have too much gore

  • You are SO awesome! ^.^ This seriously is going to help me A LOT this Halloween! <3 I lawv yew! XD <3

  • Thank you for posting this! I now have more knowledge on how to fix up a good looking wound!

And I must say- your piercings suit you incredibly well. :3

  • @misscynical I'm glad this helped you out! And thank you for the compliments, though I don't have my piercings anymore. ;)

  • Very helpful! Doing a zombie walk this month and wasn't sure how to do makeup

  • @thatmadcapgal Have fun! If you take any videos make sure to upload them and link them to this tutorial. :D

  • Zombies gettin down at wall mart! =D

  • T VIRUS ZOMBIESSSS

  • where do u get that stuff and how much does it cost?

  • @WolfLover7122 You can get it at most costume shops. Prices vary from very cheap to somewhat expensive. Basic prosthetics can be around $10. I think Spirit Gum is about $5 per small container, and I think the same goes for wax. Blood varies depending on its quality (maybe again around $5-10). The best thing to do is check out your local shops. :)

  • God, that is gross! Lol. I want to do it!

  • @MsThickieChickie Then do it! :D Zombie walks will be starting all over next month.

  • I wanted to thank you, I learn now how to put those damn things on, only problem is I'm not as white as your skin so it works out well for you, but I'm a spic, i mean latino, so I had to use L'oreal kinda a darker tone, so it has a nice blend in, however the color of blood over all, did the job great! thank you again =)

  • @Pogokoala I know exactly how you feel. The wax is actually considerably lighter than my skin tone, but you can't tell from the lighting in the video. BenNye has different skin tone blends for their wax, but finding one that's perfect is probably difficult for anyone. The blood is fantastic for making it look like a seamless blend - I should have mentioned that in the video, so I am really glad you posted this comment for others to read. Thanks so much for watching!

  • @TanzMitRobot ya I manage to pull it off, and it work well enough! it looks awesome. and I also listen to order work like yours and other religionisly lol so I started playing prank on people and texting them my work or walking around they either Grinch or cried or surprise This is very fun! and I order the Ben Nye by mail still waiting =( Halloween is going to be so awesome this year!

  • holy shit!! you went to my high school! This video is amazing!

  • @suckkafish LOL. Small world! Did we have classes together? Send me a PM. :)

  • You are awesome girl!

  • Awesome!

  • Great video! I loved it!!! I have a question for you, where can you find nose and scar wax cause I tried looking for it at costumes stores but they dont seem to have it. Thanks.... :D

  • @ILOVEDAEGFAERCHable If you can't seem to find any at costume shops, you can always order the make-up online. Try searching it on stagemakeuponline's store. Hope that's helpful!

  • hey great video!! i was wondering if u have any tips for me i rely wanna scare the shit out of my friends like i want them to cry so if u have any tips that would be great so please send me a message thank you

  • @mijastewarddd You could always look for the broken bone prosthetic and put it on your arm. Glob cinema secrets blood gel at the base near the bones and anywhere where the wax might not be blending too well. Then pour on some regular fake blood, which will make it look "wet". You could run out screaming and crying like you broke your arm then. The broken arm is my fiancé's favorite zombie appliance because it looks so realistic.

  • @mijastewarddd Also: if you have any further questions or need any help feel free to private message me.

  • I know this might sound silly, but whre do you get the 'fake' wound from, because i know it may be a little early, but i want to get organized for Halloween, its my favourite holiday and i want to scare the crap out of my friedns, Thank You, by the way, the video was amazing, you should think about becoming a professional artist :)

  • @MissWinnie1995 Not a silly question at all! I go to a year-round private owned costume shop, but when October rolls around pretty much any costume shop carries prosthetics in/near their make-up section (as well as spirit gum and the wax, unless they sell out). I've seen them at Party City and Spirit before, though your best bet for better variety would be a private-run costume shop. Hope that helps! And thanks for the sweet compliment. :)

  • U remind me of Lady GAGA!

  • 1 question how do u get it off

  • If you wear it long enough, the sweat usually loosens it enough that it just gently peels off. If not, you can use warm, soapy water, or Spirit Gum Remover. I've heard something about acetone on a cotton swab, but I don't know how well it works (and I imagine it would be brutal on the skin). Hope that helps!

  • Baby oil I hear works too but I have always just carefully peeled the stuff off. It does not stick to the point of being painful to peel off, just a little tight.

  • @teganhottie

sprirt gum remover, you should geet some if you gunna use spirit gum

  • @teganhottie spirit gum remover is best, you can buy it at almost any costume store

  • that all u do for a living but cool make up tho. get a job

  • Hahahaha, but I have a job! Makeup is just a hobby.

  • Xcellent Tutorial!!!

    Thanks

  • Thanks!

  • omg haha if i saw osmeone walkin in a store like that i think id freak LMAO=) awesome job tho!

  • Hahahaha, awesome. Some of the people in there got so freaked out. There was actually someone that worked in a hospital that had thought, at a short distance, that we had actually wounds. Epic lawls.

  • This is pretty sweet!! AWESOME.

If the spirit gum gets it stuck to your face real good, how would you manage to take it off???

  • Some warm, soapy water. Generally sweat helps loosen it up, so if you've been wearing it for hours and have been shambling about it should peel off super easy.

  • That's looking pretty... SHARP! *rimshot* Sorry, I couldn't resist. Awesome work! I appreciate these kinds of tutorials, because I'm dressing as a zombie this Halloween for the first time in about 13 years!!!

  • ZING! Haha, but thanks. I hope your costume comes out really awesome! Take tons of photos/videos and link/post them back here! <3

  • That's great!! Every video I watch has a little extra tip the other one didn't have. All the blood/gore really does it.

I'm surprised nobody does a video on how to remove this stuff. I did one last night and it was a real hoot. Yeah, it might only be a short 15-25 second video but it's be a good laugh for the ouch factor. Of course I didn't bother with the spirit gum remover.. I just pulled... and pulled... and pulled.

  • I thought about doing a removal tutorial, but... if you wear it out long enough, the sweat on your skin usually makes the removal easy/painless. Otherwise I can see why your video would be a riot. You should post it as a response. ;)

Oh! I think it's also hair that makes prosthetic removal a pain. I know my boyfriend will shave the area around his arm or leg if that's where he's applying. Though once he missed a spot and - oouuuuuch.

  • I've seen tutorials of people using Elmer's School glue with toilet paper as an effect. Have you tried that and does it work well or does it fall apart too easy?

  • I've actually never heard about that before! But you've peaked my interest, so I will have to try it out and get back to you. :)

  • I tried it last weekend. Works like a champ.

  • Hawt!

  • I live in NYC. I have the top theatrical/make-up supply companies right near me. I put together a great kit. I'm making appliances out of silicone now, after doing a good lifecast.

  • That's lucky! I live in the middle of Phoenix, AZ. The closest/only make-up supply store that I know of is about 20 minutes away. I made this tutorial mostly for people that want to be able to apply somewhat realistic zombie make-up cheaply and without too much effort.

If you get the chance, you should post a video of your completed costume as a response. Or maybe even your own tutorial? I'm really curious to see what everyone does this year. :)

  • Look at the idiot below me. a tutorial on how to apply make-up, and still the loser feels the need to leave the "oh your hot" comment. Over youtube. Christ, get a life, man.

  • you look hot N' sexy by the way!

  • I have liquid Latex, so woulds that be used like the spirit gum was.

  • Not quite. Spirit gum is used more as an adhesive to hold down your prosthetic. While stippling liquid latex around the edge of the prosthetic could be used as an alternative to the wax, I still strongly recommend you have that base of spirit gum to hold down the prosthetic... otherwise your make-up job won't be as secure.

    Hope that helps!

  • can you re use thoes things tho ? for your face ? the glass thing ^^;?

  • Yes! The wax can be a little annoying to get off the prosthetic, but the blood and spirit gum wash off really easily.

  • and also !! i like your piercings :3.

  • alright ! thank you so much :D .and the video was really helpful!

  • wicked. awesome. . . i will try and post a video (or atleast some pics) :P

now was that a walmart i saw youguys in at the end?

where was that. it looks awefully familiar

    x3

    <3 xxx

  • Oh, that would be awesome! I'm excited to see whatever you come up with.

And yes, that was a Walmart. ;) I'm not sure exactly where it was, but somewhere very close to San Diego.

    <3!

  • omg thank you<333 cleared up alot of my q's<3

  • Glad it helped. <3

  • OMGURCUTE!

  • Hahaha, you're too kind!

  • u must not have seen that many girls in ur life buddy, i feel sorry for u
