@historicalogicalness To me, having Eggman look like an actual human makes as much sense as having Sonic look like an actual hedgehog: none. I really like his current look, so I do think that the other humans should match the more cartoonish style instead of the other way around. I think it just fits better, overall.

But yeah, even the worst Sonic games have some really good elements, with the music being consistently excellent. Makes you wish the other parts had worked out so well.

There is a 2D version of this game and believe it or not it's actually really fun to play, no long load times, Silver is a bit easier to defeat, the levels don't have cheap deaths, there's no voice acting besides the reactions, it's a much brighter game, and the controls are really good.

@Bluewind098 You're right about the time constraint thing. Sonic 06 was supposed to have a whole bunch of things that didn't make it into the finished game, including a night and day cycle. The fact that the features that did make it into the game are so poorly implemented (Sonic's Gem Powers, which are supposed to be limited but aren't, for example.), provides further evidence that this game was quite a rushed product.

I had a weird experience with that first Lightspeed Dash; a strange glitch that I've never heard anyone else mention!

When I jumped and pressed the button to used the dash, but I must've been at the wrong angle because Sonic wasn't facing the direction that he was going, he was facing sideways! So when he reached the last ring instead of going forward and landing on the island, he flew of diagonally and landed straight in the water!

Anyone else experience this problem?

I think the only reason people don't like Unleashed is because they put SOnic in the Beat Em Up parts, where people are accustomed to sonic being fast not strong. If it were Knuckles in Unleashed instead of Sonic the Wearhog, the game would have no haters at all. The name Sonic and Knuckles Unleashed just wasn't catchy enough.

well, I found a beta version of 06's instruction booklet. It says about sonic's custom shoes, and shows a picture (link was broken so I can't show you) that they were grey shoes, with a hollowed out top, where the laces should be. so you don't have the custom shoes on, there just kinda sitting in an inventory that doesn't exsist.

This game was supposed to have a more realistic look. Hence Eggman's design.

Elise is voiced by Lacey Chabert, an established actress who does both voice work and live-action.

The cinematic cutscenes look amazing, and the ingame cutscenes look great too. I just wish the characters' faces moved a little more.

The ring dash works fine for me just lineup and hit the button when you get to the 1st ring.

I haven't finished the game yet, but so far I think it's been decent. Just my 2 cents

Unintentional glitches, that ranged from being "flung into space by silver", to being stuck on a wall as Knuckles or Rogue. In the end, one needs to experience it for themselves.

To be honest I find that to be pretty hilarious, especially considering the makers rendered the sky to the point where it actually stretches out to space. I have yet to play as Knuckles or Rouge so I can't give an opinion on that one
