Radeon 6990 is the best card out there, its even better than the 7970 and the GTX 590. Tested many benchmarks on all cards, 6990 came out on top on pretty much everything.

@greentoker101 radeon 7970 and 6990 are still the fastest cards. AMD is the best grapics, especially for the price. But with that said Nvidia is good too.

i would use AMD, but in my country (Spain) is almost imposible to find an AMD card, you usually find a G210, a GT 430, a GTS 450, a GTX 560 and a GTX 580 lol, it's pretty unbalanced, but im pretty happy with my 560
LOOL they couldn't even use a proper benchmark that forces both cards through the equal amount of stress? this is especially weak since stalker has a built in benchmark... i won't even start ranting on the fact that the graphic setup may differ, since they didn't give a clue what they used...same goes for the whole pc spec...this has written fail all over it, but someone who's interested in the real performance will check out a proper review anyway...

maybe AMD has better performance/price ratio,but thats about it. Nvidia has always had a heart for games. their website is nicer, their demos are so original and creative, they even try to impact gaming with Cuda and physX, be a part of gaming itself. and they quickly release drivers to make up for the lack of horsepower. everything AMD seems to put weight on is the FPS(as far as i see) the one time i used an ATI Card, it went to 100 Celsius before i started the game.

@gmk120 English please. I never did state i wanted low frame rates in my games. It solely meant RAW Power is better than having a card being optimized the Nvidia way. In a case, Game developers will have to work exclusively for that card. The only reason AMD failed is that they did not support many game developers for their cards.

@TheDengiz1 AMD radeon is not a bad choice...I purchased a Radeon HD 6950 that has a bios switch to unlock it to a 6970. The preformance recieved made me a verry happy customer after I looked up prices for similar nvidia models. If you ask me alot of it depends on the manufacturer and how well they construct the video card. MSI is known for using military grade parts that are verry good quality...To me the manufacturer means as much as the technology you pick.

maybe AMD has better performance/price ratio,but thats about it. Nvidia has always had a heart for games. their website is nicer, their demos are so original and creative, they even try to impact gaming with Cuda and physX, be a part of gaming itself. and they quickly release drivers to make up for the lack of horsepower. everything AMD seems to put weight on is the FPS(as far as i see) the one time i used an ATI Card, it went to 100 Celsius before i started the game.

@gmk120 English please. I never did state i wanted low frame rates in my games. It solely meant RAW Power is better than having a card being optimized the Nvidia way. In a case, Game developers will have to work exclusively for that card. The only reason AMD failed is that they did not support many game developers for their cards.
When you buy a hardware, you want to make a full use of it, not half of it's potential.

@TheDengiz1 AMD radeon is not a bad choice...I purchased a Radeon HD 6950 that has a bios switch to unlock it to a 6970. The preformance recieved made me a verry happy customer after I looked up prices for similar nvidia models. If you ask me alot of it depends on the manufacturer and how well they construct the video card. MSI is known for using military grade parts that are verry good quality...To me the manufacturer means as much as the technology you pick.
