I am the originator of this effect and I can promise you there is no sticky stuff as you say. Typically, the spectator chooses a card, thenI BORROW a cig, and make it levitate. I find the comment about the magnet amusing to say the least, considering cigs are made of paper and dried leaves...sorry, if you weren't impressed. Personally I love the effect and so does my audience. Cheers!

The card is a gimic, it has a simple Magnetic strip in the inside layer, and the Negative charge for the magnet is in the cigarette.
