  • Great Artists!!! That's it we were just blessed to be Granted the opportunity to be born in a Great time for some of the Greatest music!!!!!!!! SO just post nice stuff and enjoy!!!!!

  • <3

  • Gotta get away...great guitar licks..

  • Man what's with the homophobia in the comments on this song? I don't think Neil would appreciate that...

  • @CrunchyGamingInc I think you need to look up the dictionary definition of homophobia, I called the person a cocksucker having no idea of whether it was male/female whatever, it's just a username I'm responding to. When the sad act replied informing me he was gay, I made no reference to his sexuality is a derogatory way, but did twist his explanation to my belief that his father is his forceful lover, so not homophobic, just intuitive.

  • Chili Peppers version is better

  • @SteFrenchfan LIAR!!!!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!

  • @Chupaskabra45 My opinion you cock sucker, get fucked

  • @SteFrenchfan thank you i am gay. and thats okay. homophobic jerk. btw i get fucked nightly.unlike you, 21 year old virgin.

  • @Chupaskabra45 Up the arse!! HA!

  • @madeofstone95 yessir. 8)

  • @SteFrenchfan hey, whatever gets you off at night sick fuck.

  • @Chupaskabra45 @SteFrenchfan both of you be quiet, your comments are unnecessary. Red Hot Chili Peppers brought me here, and despite if i like their version more or not, it wouldn't be possible without Niel's geniusness.

  • @SteFrenchfan It doesn't get me off, I'm just describing your nightly encounters!

  • @SteFrenchfan get out of here. you can't appreciate classic good music so just don't talk on a video like this. thanks.

  • @josh71111 I like this song, I just think the Red Hot Chili Peppers cover is better, and I was met with a typical redneck response. There are too many Hitlers on here trying to dictate, doesn't work with me unfortunately. Thanks

  • @SteFrenchfan I haven't heard it. But the chances of the RHCPs doing anything better than anybody...or even good is extremely unlikely. You must be a Fox News guy. They love to reference Hitler whenever they want to shut people down.

It's possible that Anthony Kiedis is the worst singer in rock history. He doesn't even have relative pitch. If I had made it that big and gotten that rich without a stitch of talent, I'd be shooting dope, too. The guilt of it must haunt him to this day.

  • @peterzang Fucking muppets the lot of you. My personal opinion was given and you rednecks have jumped all over it because I dared to say another version is better. Anthony's voice is fine, not the best, but good enough to have fronted 10 albums and sell over 70 million albums, so I doubt your opinion on his voice matter to him in his muliti million dollar mansion. And he doesn't take any drugs any more, so you got that wrong as well. Now get back in your pick up truck and murder your sister boy.

  • @SteFrenchfan Yes, well we know that album sales mean EVERYTHING. I guess the motherfucking Chipmunks must be better the Beach Boys then, Good argument. I know when I'm talking to a great debater. And no drugs never had anything to do with it. Kurt Cobain-sadly-was great on drugs, as well as when he was clean. I stand by it. Kiedis is unlistenable. And somewhere Neil is throwing up.

  • @peterzang That's your opinion. Again you twist my words I didn't say album sales mean everything, however you don't sell 70 million albums if you're shit. And Neil won't be throwing up at all. Anthony and him are good friends and play at each others charity gigs. You're being awfully defensive considering I never even said a bad word about Neil. Did you get bullied at school?

  • @SteFrenchfan Good one. I'm a musician and music writer. And along with a few other discerning souls (who don't think the RHCP have passed beyond criticism), I think they're a clunky, ordinary band, with marginal writing skills. And as I said, Kiedis has no relative pitch. I like Bob Dylan, Joe Strummer, Marvin Gaye and Iggy Pop. Kiedis got lucky one night when he joined up with those guys and started rapping. When I think of great songwriters and bands, they're not even Near the list.

  • @peterzang That's fine. I don't look to much into music, well not like that. I just listen, and if I like what I'm hearing, I'll keep listening. Lyrics don't mean much to me. They're hardly a clunky band, they have arguable the best Bass guitarist in the world (voted number two behind Paul McCartney by Rolling Stone, John Frusciante who was with them during they're most successful period is a fantastic guitarist, and Chad Smith, well nothing needs to be said about his talent.

  • @SteFrenchfan Agree about Flea. Excellent. I was forced to sit through a 20 minute Chad Smith drum solo once and nearly committed suicide. I was around for the 60s and Ginger Baker, so you may know how I feel about such things. Anyway, cheers. No reason to go to war about it. Best PZ

  • @peterzang You also have the origins of the bands initial success wrong. Anthony didn't just start rapping when he 'joined up' with those you mentioned one night. That was his style all along. It was Brendan Mullen who got them their first (important) gig at Club Lingerie.

  • @SteFrenchfan Hahaha...you piece of shit!

  • @RenzoMiller Ya ma

  • this is fucking epic

  • i saw him play this in spain at the barcelona primavera sound festival in 2008. Truly spectacular to hear thousands of spaniards chanting ole ole ole ole ole for an encore. but it really affected me because i had been away from canada for over 3 months at that point and was starting to get homesick, it had special meaning to me when he sang it there.

  • chili peppers did great cover !

  • i saw the chili peppers and they coverd this it was quality this is a belting tune

  • my turkey goalpoasts are clapping at a crazy rate

  • This song perfectly describes my life right now. My life IS nowhere, the people around me just don't recognize it.

  • @lizzylizardson is that you robert?

  • tanx for sharing

  • A retard gene driven stream of caterwauling, unharmonic guitar screeching and high-pitched whining, more worthy of a transgendered trollop pushed into a gutter after swallowing gallons of cum from multiple wayward gentlemen enjoying a night of depraved abandon in several of the seedier establishments on the dark outskirts of the shining city on the hill.

James!! Scuttle your way to me quickly now, man!

Bag that cat Nelly Young tonight. Here's a stout bat. Beat the daylights out of her!

  • Everybody who knows that this 42 year old Neil Young song is fantastic, is a true Neil Young fan

  • @Max2006MyDog This is my favorite album from Neil Young. It so good I do not have a favorite song off of it.

  • this song reminds me of my bedroom in my folk's house. Nice one Neil. :-)

  • @tweedy151 hot anal potato

  • This is Neil with Crazy Horse. The missing link Neil found in a club in L.A. in 1968. Danny Whiten, Ralph Molina and Billy Talbot were the sound Neil lacked. His previous solo album had flopped and with Crazy Horse, within a year the album 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere' was released. This was the historic start to Neil young's career without the need for BS or CSN to carry him. Danny Whitten died in 1972 and Neil's life changed forever. The Needle and The Damage Done' was written about Danny.

  • @DannyRayWhittenFan

    Congratulations, you know your shit.

  • Before I start, i just wanna say, it's one of the pleasures of my life --

to finally find this song. It's amzing in Almost Famous - so I was going thru the entire soundtrack. yeah it does sound like neil. I shud have guessed him.

  • Brings back great memories!!!!!!!!!

  • Great, great song. What a great song and great sentiments from our favorite music man. He sings it like it's a hurricane, filtered through the old heart of gold.

  • If only this song was 10 minutes longer so i didn't have to replay it so many times

  • Home, cool and breezy. Here in this sand bunker waiting for the VC to overrun the camp, we only dream that we were back in school and not yanked out of our chairs by a 'draft' that took boys and turned them into hard men and harder individuals. Go thank a politician if you think god runs any government.... NOTE: god is not 'capitalized.' Grow up kids, you're next... But, this tune is just fine!

  • The best of both worlds is better!

  • The best of both world is better!

  • seriously, this song is absolutely fantastic

  • Some a joint to this song.....it's like sex.

  • What a great phase......'everybody knows this is nowhere,......everybody everybody knows.'

  • zero dislikes just the way a neil young song should be.

  • I got to get away from this day to day..

  • the catchiest guitar lick ever, it feels so good to play, i have to play it several times each time i play guitar

  • @elstroshitnonstop

I always end up playing at least 3 or 4 Neil songs everytime I pick up the guitar. I mean, his music doesn't only sound great (like it's supposed to), but it's also really fun to play.

  • @elstroshitnonstop

id love to learn but cant find tabs anywhere any advice where to get some?

  • 0 dislikes, thats right.

  • neil is gangsterrrrrrrrrr

  • Lovely. Cheers.

  • Greatest Neil Young album ever!!!

  • It makes me cry with longing for 1972...

  • To LB: AGREE!!!!

  • makes me want to move to Colorado

  • This is Neil Young at his most pure, right on!!

  • Neil is great but for some reason I didn't appreciate this song enough until they put it in "almost famous" (movie). But then they had "cortex the killer" sound like musak on the soundtrack.

  • You and me both, Neil.

  • love love love this song....it's one of my favorite neil young songs....love the one note guitar licks, plus the country funk....this makes me think of when i was just gettin ready to move out of nyc....gettin ready for the country!!

  • @crackfarm76 if you like this you'd probably also love Crazy Horse's self titled debut....

  • @crackfarm76 Grass is always greener on the other side, isn't it? I live in the country and want to move to NYC.
