Beyond Reality - Dancing With the Stars 8 Recap 4/27/09

I unfortunately don't agree on the team dances. Like many have said there was some slopiness. And it had a HUMONGOUS gimmick at the end. It was definitely entertaining and good, but not as good as team tango. Team Tango was great, sure, Lil'Kim had a noticable bludner, Ty was pretty good but had some mistakes, and Gilles's footwork was...not his best :(. But bottom line, Mambo had too much gimmick, not enoughd dancing, Tango were very good as well and had small blunders. Mambo had mistakes too.

The tango team was way better than the mambo team. The tango is a much harder dance to perform. All the mambo team did was copy Beyonce's video that's original. Anybody could have done that. The Mambo team was all over the place, and if Tony and Lacy weren't dancing the mambo team would not have looked as good as it did. And to say that the tango team is in the judges pocket Oh my God Shawn and little miss helpless Melissa were in the judges pockets. You two are so off base it isn't funny.

Everytime, I try to listen to you girls, you girls are always hating on lil kim and derek, that is why no one really watches this shit!! I have a suggestion for you(s)

What !! Are you kidding me. Who are you people. Lil' Kim and Derek's Paso was GREAT I think they should have received all 10's. I don't think that we are watching the same show. If the auidence gave them a standing ovation that is really saying something. I think you people are just haters on on Lil Kim. I think that they had the best paso of the season!

I believe that Melissa should go home, and give someone a chance, that isn't hurting! I think that if she comes back and dances like nothing happened, it is because it didn't! She is a drama queen and her tango wasn't better than lil kim's! If anything I thought that tony took a page from derek's book!

What they said was true. I dun see much team dancing at all in team tango, except by the end when they danced the same thing, side by side. I remember that in last season when team cha cha did the same thing (side by side dance), Carrie Ann said it was BAD. She felt like they're making comparison instead of doing team dance. I dun understand why she would say the team dance was good this time.

... (Continued). Team mambo did a much better job this time. OK Shawn was a bit sloppy on turns, and Chuck wasn't that fantastic. But I love how they're dancing together. For example, after Tony and Lacey done, Mark and Shawn stepped in, and Tony danced with Shawn while Mark danced with Lacey as the transition. That was great! The ending was fun and fabulous. I just don't agree with the judges on the team dances this week.

wow,your bias for your faves are really showing, but i guess you dont have to be neutral. i didnt agree at all with your criticsm of the judges for using the rehersal to judge melissa. what in heaven's name do you expect them to do? giving them no points? all 10s? sevens was quite fair, enough to keep them in another week if the audience wants them.

The problem is that they used the worse of the rehearsals they performed that day. Tony said in an interview that they had rehearsed it several times, and this was just going to be the "orchestra rehearsal" - He said that since Melissa already had the routine down, HE told her to take it easy on this one and not push herself as much as she did in the previous rehearsals. My question is - why didn't the producers use one of the earlier, better rehearsals?

AND Team Mambo was waaayyy better than Team Tango. With Team Tango, I just kept waiting for something to happen. It never did.

Team Tango all the way! The mambo was pretty entertaining, but Shawn and Chuck were completely out danced by their partners. Tango was boring? I don't understand how, it looked like a beautiful, well choreographed tango to me.

Why yall always hatin on lil kim? Nobodies perfect, and team mambo although it was very funny and entertaining, it seemed very cheesy to me, and not ballroom at all, where as of team tango were very professional and on point, of course lil kim was going to mess up, did you see how rehearsal was going!?!

I totally agree on the team dances, team mambo was way better and more entertaining! judges were totally unfair!

gilles and high speed dances dont work. just look at his jive. lil kims paso was so awesome. totally deserved a 30! chuck was just average again. and in pajamas again. he just needs to go. shawn was weaker this week, her performance just seemed off from usual. poor melissa, im sure she is going to home next. her scoring was unfair but at least its something. ty had such an improvement this week! i want him to keep going but i feel this might be his last week.
