@1argeth1 On USHIGAIN model: Gain, 2:00. Volume, 11:00. Treble, 1:00. Mid, 10-11:00. Bass, 2:00. Master, CRANKED. Delay on the default settings. Attenuator pretty much up to you. I had it pretty loud. That's mostly it if remember correctly. I don't use this amp much anymore. I have the new VT50 model now. :)
Ehm... I play in a band (Guitar/Keyboards) and I dont have a amp yet (going to buy the 30vt) but our bassist had a roland cube 30x and I usually don't put it over half because its much too loud if I turn it up higher, the other guitarist has a 120 watt marshall fullstack i think. And well, he plays kinda loud too and the roland can handle it fantastically. Because they say the Vox is even louders the 30 watt should be more than enough for band practise situations, (mic it up for gigs).
It really depends on what you're after. For a practice amp the 30w works fine. It'll definitely be loud enough to suit your needs. It's also easier to tote around as well. However, if you plan on gigging with it, 50w is the better choice. The larger speaker helps at higher volumes and might sound a tad bit better. I'm not exactly sure though because I haven't tested both side by side before. I'm planning on getting one at some point when I have money to burn.
50w won't give you much difference volume-wise, but if you're going to be playing with a band or practicing with a drummer, etc., you'll want at least a 50w. The main difference is the 50w won't break up as much at higher volumes.
hey that sounds very good! I have also an Gibson Les Paul an the VOX ad30vt.I turned the treble middle and bass full up,but will try your settings now :)
I'm looking for an amp to play at home that will give me nice jazz and blues tones at low volume levels? Would you recommend this amp? How digital does it sound at lower volume levels?
It sounds pretty decent at lower volumes. But even tube amps don't sound as good until they are turned up. It sounds okay at low volumes but you really hear it shine after you turn it up a bit.
I would highly recommend this amp for jazz and blues. Very clean and expressive tone if you tweak it right. If you get one, I would suggest you turn the Master volume very high while keeping the other volume knob nothing past 12 o'clock. Then just use the attenuator on back for loudness. I think that helps keep down the solid state side and accentuate the more tube-like side of this amp.
I'm at college now so I can't quite check again for sre but I believe the settings were: Gain, 2:00. Volume, 11:00. Treble, 1:00. Mid, 10-11:00. Bass, 2:00. Master, CRANKED. Delay on the default settings. Attenuator pretty much up to you. I had it pretty loud. The louder the better in my opinion. :) I also changed out the tube for a Tung Sol and I use Monster Rock cable. I think those helped as well. Have fun!
Hey, how did you get this sound? I mean which preset and the levels

NIce riff! Loved the chunk, and pinch harmonics.
I rarely plug up the half stack, anymore. I have a AD15VT, that usually does the trick, when I feel the need to break out my LP custom.

To get a really good sound do you need to have 50w or higher? Or is the 30w OK?
