  • ça dépend des goûts.....

  • Michelangeli est un des plus grands pianistes. Son jeu est d'une pureté cristalline. L'extra terrestre du piano ! (entendu dans une émission de France Musique).

  • Beautiful beautiful beautiful and indefinable sad.

  • 今まで聴いた中で一番いいです。ユンデ・リもよかったけど。

  • Like Helene Grimaud's version better. More passion.

  • A human wrote this, a mere mortal like you and me wrote this immortal piece of beauty. I wonder what it meant to him.

  • @TheEntity91 Ravel worked intensely a full week polishing this movement, yet Charles Dutoit has called it 'elevator music'; Jean Yves Thibaudet in person with Paavo Jarvi and Cincinnati excelled, but the Thibaudet/Dotoit CD stinks. This Adagio is the movement I judge all pianists by, and can identify each of them. This one is good, but Helene Grimaud is better.

  • Monumentale.....magnifique...ça touche au sublime

  • I have never heard Michelangeli on a French composer before this is the first time and forgive me if I seem jaded but I think I would prefer a French artist to play this concerto, he lacks a certain Frenchness or Basquean taste for this piece. This is no longer a matter for technique or virtuosity to cover but more on personal perception of what should go on in the music and how to execute it. I think i'll go now and listen to Pascal Roge. Thanks for the post, btw. At least i learned something.

  • @tuberobotto I agree with you, try Monique Haas. She is following much more the music, putting in less emotion or personality. Still I love this one from mr. Michelangeli too.

  • @tuberobotto A high point of my life was on a Paris business trip when my SNECMA host talked about Ravel, I opined that only a French pianist played him perfectly (without mentioning Samson Francois by name). He replied that he used to turn pages for him, and kept him from falling off the bench, so I knew that we were talking of the same person - Francois was a notorious drunkard and doper, who died a few weeks after collapsing on stage. Listen to the Francois/Youtube Adagio.

  • Deux géants !

  • 8:45

    What exactly happened?

  • @zhangensprachen

Cellos were probably playing too loud...

  • @outsider950 Senza "praticamente". Michelangeli È PERFETTO!! eheh

  • @kwkm5628 Never call this a "tune" again.

  • @QcMori7 y not

  • makes my heart cry...

  • Ecco un pianista con cui celi andava d'accordo..
