  • I still cry when I watch this clip. I have a lot of family in Steele, so I spent quite a bit of time in Caruthersville. How their faith must have heightened after that. I thanked God for all the survivors that day.

  • I live in Caruthersville, and as many people know I live in a very small town, but what you don't know about us is about the people in charge of our city. This tornado was a very goob but bad thing for us the good part is that it showed us how selfish people could be. the whole east side of our town was hit, the mayor and City of Caruthersville would not fix that side until the last minute, but the rich and no offense white side of town they fixed that same night. that's messed up huh

  • I went to Caruthersville this summer (2008) i went w/ my middle school youth group! I dont think you guys know how much you guys changed our lives.I can't even discribe in words how much it meens to me! i will be going there for as long as i can! we have a video that you should take a look @ type in the search box: grand haven mission trip (it should be the 1st one of a person holding up a mission sign) God Bless, mary johnson
  • i was in this tornado on april the 2nd

  • my apartment on east haven wasnt dmged at all but god was with us cause the town got destroyed

  • Thank you very much. The music is done by the Christ Church Choir.

  • Who is singing this song? This footage is just amazing....what power...and how scary!

  • Yes...My house was gone!!!...I got a call one night that said u need to come home (i was in Tunica) that there was nothing left of it and I found that out when I came home that night!!...it has been hard on all of us but we have managed to pull through...THANK THE LORD!!!

P.s. the tornado was a mile wide and the tornado hit April 6

  • No,it Hit April 2.

  • Man that thing must have been huge. You guys took a hit. How many fatalities?

  • I believe there were 16 fatalities associated with this tornado.

  • i was there on the day...my life will never be the same...the video has no comparison to what i was like that night

  • Oh I absolutely know that the video couldn't capture the devestation that the people of Caruthersville suffered which is why I tried to create more emotion with the music. I'm sorry you had to go through it. I'll keep you in my prayers. Believe me I know what devestation is! Check my other videos and you'll see my son's home burned down 3 months after this tornado. He lost everything and our lives will never be the same either.

  • i couldnt even begin to imagine man.

  • dude i was there!

  • I'm sorry but I don't know. You see....I live in Rockford Illinois. I was visiting family in Tennessee when the tornado went through Caruthersville. I took this footage on my way back home to Rockford and have no idea what this city looked like before the tordano went through. Thank you for watching the video.

  • WAS THE CASINO STILL THERE?
