@toranacar, "Commos"? You're Impressed with Monckton?. Monckton is an agent for the corporations/elite who are most against an ETS. Monckton has been debunked but obviously you missed that. (check out potholer54 on youtube) As far as the ABC goes, i've seen more detail, explanation, opposing views from the ABC and SBS tthan the whole private media put together. Anyway the CTS is here, and it will be good in the long term, despite a few teething problems in Europe, and its good for business.

Both labor and liberal have been too scared to act on carbon, if you remember Howard said we would have an ETS and many liberals agreed. You only need to look at the right-wing shock jocks, and paid agents of the mining industry (like Monckton) to see why. @tubester4567 2007 election - both Coalition & ALP were touting an ETS. In the lead up to Copenhagen in '09 Rudd pushed very hard to get the CPRS in before he went for the benefit of his ego. The Coalition said wait until after Copenhagen is over to see the result. Copenhagen happened but the ideology of a worldwide system failed. Intelligent people said there is no point in Aus doing anything. Gillard knifed Rudd, Abbott rolled Turnbull. The people are still right, but Gillard sold out. The end
