  • Bravissimo...ma al punto 8:20 si vede un buco sulla boccoletta del flauto molto piu' grande del normale...ha forse una boccoletta con un buco piu' grande per fare quel grandissimo suono?

  • beautiful. Who wrote this transcription?

  • i would like to know what edition this is too because in mine ms 185 through90 is not slurred. thanks

  • what flute do you use?

  • когда в Москву с концертом?

  • I play the violin....and the cadenza 16th notes crossing is just too fast....even professional doesn't play it that fast.

  • fantastic but the comportement of a flutist in front of the public is very important. I couldn t see many times any "visible" emotions. I m not talking about your musicality but when I look at you playing it s like you don t enjoy the music even if I m certains that you do ?!?! The interpretation like I said before is very good but ...

    Best regards

  • Very nice, pity you don't seem to be 'perfoming' (body language) during the tuttis - sort of spoils visually a very authoritative performance. Who's the accompanist? (maybe it would be polite to mention his name on the video description?)

  • Gorgeous! I'm so envious of your sound

  • I have performed this on Violin, and have never EVER even considered how this may sound on a different instrument!!!! I was a bit curious as to how you would do the double stopping, but I'm impressed with how you did it...BRAVO to you for giving this piece of amazing music a different ray of light...and the higher registers of this piece sound amazingly piercing on the flute! J'adore!

  • Amazing! Omg!

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!

  • 7:53-8:14 (!?)

  • is your father a professional flute player too?

  • Everything about this performance is superb. Fantastic tome, great musicianship, stupendous technique. There is an excitement in his playing. One of the great flutists of this era.

  • did u know Sir James Galway favourited your video? SO GOOD!!!

  • I don't think I breathed for most of this...there are no words powerful to describe your playing......you play the flute like I didn't know anyone could ever play a flute....wonderful.

  • oh my goodness

    AMAZINGGGGGG.

i want to try this now!!!!!!!

i love this concerto so much but after seeing someone playing on flute, i want to learn this!

  • this helped me study before my concerto and it accually helped me grasp alot of the melody.

  • How does he hold the G at 2:47?!

    Excellent, though. : )

  • WOW~

  • you amaze me...

    thanks ^^

  • man, so far I thought Pahud was awesome, how wrong I was! you are brilliant, now I know how much more work I have with my playing hearing you :-)

  • @juricagoja This man is amazing, stunning and astounding, But Pahud is also still amazing! Berliner Philharmoniker is the best!

  • omg..... I'm still learning how to play it in my Violin.... WOW.. THIS IS SOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it always surprises me how concerto for other instruments always seem to suit the flute, the sound on recording is overpowering but ive listened to the other recording s of the same place your colours are missing but i know they are there i hope we see you soon on some of the bigger stage i dont think there has been anybody since jimmy with the quality in sound even at speed in the scales but also in projection it always seems to be missing i really enjoyed your playing

  • You are just amazing....i could never EVER get bored of listening to you play. I hope i get as good as you....in fact .....i will....:) xx

  • is it too fast?

  • well - I am convinced!!!!!

    Beautiful playing...

  • Great job! I especially enjoyed hearing your interpretation of the chords in the cadenza. Absolutely marvelous!

  • Did you transcribe it yourself?

  • this is mad!!! omg awesome!!

  • COOL i never heard this concerto on flute before .. im use to hearing it only on violin

  • And you've done the Mendelssohn too!

    Fantastic!

OK, so when you let me know where I can get the Saint - Saens, you can also tell me where I can get this piece, too!

    Outstanding!

    Bravo!

  • Денис, cпасибо!

    Из Венгрии.

    Thank from Hungary.

  • the cadenza is absolutely spectacular!

  • say, you're good.!

  • In my humble opinion, some parts of his cadenza could be made better by the use of some pianissimo altissimo notes.

Still, amazing playing. Even after continuous arpeggios he still seemed incredibly relaxed. Ouch.

  • I'm not so crazy about this movement... The performers and arranger have done a more-than-amazing job, but it just doesn't sound like a flute work the way the the third movement does. It just...sounds like a transcription. Does that make any sense? It doesn't matter that much, but the third movement is so idiomatic that you could tell me it was written for flute and I'd believe you, which is not the case with this. I'd fear for any player of lesser calbre attempting it, myself included!

  • Great playing!

  • this musicwas used in the french movie "les visiteurs"

  • Absolutely Fabulous Playing !! -Some of the greatest I"ve ever heard - Bravo !!! Paul

  • Ive never heard flute playing like this! Completely out of this world!

  • incredible. i love it!

  • OMG! I didn't know there was a flute version of that concert!

    Awesome!

  • Absolutely Brilliant! Amazing technique, your articulation is perfect. Your dynamics are right on.

  • This is terrific. Could someone please let me know whose edition this is. I only know Rampal's and this is not his. Thank you.

  • @madi12656

it's definitely not the Billaudot edition. It seems closer to the violin version, esp. the cadenza. Perhaps he just made his own, as i'm doing with some others.

  • Wonderftul Technique, you are very talented.

    Great Music!!!

  • Unbelieveable!!and u r amazing~~;P

  • a machine.

  • @sicuryx i agree.. hopefully you mean machine in the same way i took it. it was incredible playing but sounding much like sibelious or finale playing the instrument for you-more emotions please!

  • INCREDIBLE!

  • Unbelieveable technic

  • You have the most beautiful tone I have ever heard.

  • Awesome! Its sounds so haas on flute.

  • very good!

  • An absolutely brilliant flutist-amazing natural playing. Everything is there, beautiful tone, great musicianship and technique and articulation that is astounding. One of the best I have ever heard.

  • That was great!! Wonder if it is possible to play tchaikovski violin concerto on the flute too.

  • Yes, trying it out tomorrow for the first time in a concert :-)

  • How did it go?!

  • @bouriakov Will you upload it on youtube?

  • mr.buriakov, please upload your video or even an audio of it.

we would all love to hear it!

  • envy you

  • You are amazing~~~Love it~~~~^^

  • We want you to perform in Italy Denis, come and we'll be hundreds!

  • What an inspiration! You are a phenominal player. Thank you so much for posting your videos. Please post more!!

  • This is INCREDIBLE!!!!

  • Amazing, I instantly was taken back by your playing when I heard the clips on your website. I definitely regret coming the the BFS convention this summer to see you live!

  • You are a great flutist!!!!

  • Amazing flute playing! The sound is much truer when adding the &fmt=18 at the end of the address. I heard you do this with Conert Lumier in Manchester last week. Even the higher quality doesn't do justice to the enormous sound you make!
