the x+2 in the absolute value- 2 represents the x part of the vertex. she did it right. it should be the opposite of wht is listed in the absolute value. just saying. :D

the slope becomes becomes (if not upside down) right 1 down 1 for the left side until the vertex and then up 1 right 1 to infinity. If upside down, the slope is up 1 right 1 for the left side until the vertex ,then it becomes down 1 right 1 for infinity
i figured this out just now lolz but since u asked a year ago i guess itz usless 4 me to answer but if itz a fraction you multiply the (x) value byt he reciprical on the fraction and if itz a whole number u divide by the number
