When elephants charge, you actually are supposed to stand ground, that's why the elephant stopped infront of the other van, because it was just staying in it's place. An animal's first instinct is to chase, so if you run away, of course it will follow it.

The Landy at the end knew this was a mock charge - he knew elephant. These are NOT idiots. @PSUkbit tourists go to africa to see the wild life. they SPEND MONEY. wild life that is alive becomes worth more money than wild life that is shot dead for meat and ivory. the money (the tourists) keeps the wild life in those parks save and protected and also benefits the people. a bit excitement from two cars now and then with people in them wont do any harm to animals when excitement is NORMAL in the savana with all the predators. also normally the animals after a while get used to cars.

In America there are places where it can be pretty wild and you need a big gun. You CANT outrun or drive an elephant. They were LUCKY that the elephant was only chasing them off. Was the jeep passing them parkrangers? If not they were also lucky that the elephant didnt redirect its rage. The sad part is their dumb actions may have cause the death of the elephant. It could be destroyed as being danger to tourists. Park rules are there for the animals safety too.
