@schink24 You are correct. It is not hard to understand the message in this video. I just wonder what percentage of people who have seen this video and listen to that kind of music on a daily basis realized how worthless said music was and threw out all the shit they have ever tortured their ears and minds with.
@Laxanii Why do you care how many people listen to popular music? Just watch the video, nobody wants to know your opinion on how ignorant people are. And you're generalizing way too much. I'm sure there are a lot of people who aren't ignorant who listen to popular music. This video is meant to be funny so stop over analyzing and judging people
@SebSome I care because most (and I stress MOST) popular music is nothing but mind-numbing trash that contributes to keeping the popluace from obtaining any free thought while remaining in an ignorant state of mind. Yes, this is funny. Yes, I am sure you are right that not every person who enjoys popular music on a daily basis lacks well-rounded knowledge and information. As far as I have ever seen, though, most people who enjoy pop music lives accordingly in manipulation and ignorance.
@Laxanii You're still generalizing. And you're repeating the same things over and over. You can't just call someone ignorant because they listen to pop music. And I've said this before too. You also can't say people lose the ability to think by themselves when they listen to pop music because that is absolutely ridiculous. It is actually one of the most ridiculous arguments I've seen made on YouTube. I personally don't enjoy pop music but I know for a fact none of your information is correct.
@SebSome I stressed "most people," did I not? I did write that some people who listen/enjoy pop music have a good amount of knowledge and information, no? Yes, I am generalizing because it is true to the general population in their relation to art, music, and moral understanding that they do not sincerely understand nor even come close to living by the positive lessons and moral values from said media. I still stand by my statement that every person I know who enjoys pop music lives accordingly.
@Laxanii Okay first of all stop using words like "accordingly" and "nor". This isn't a formal essay written in your grade 9 english class.Even if it was you would get an F because your third sentence doesn't even have a structure, its just a bunch of misused words thrown into a mutilated statement which I can barely make any sense out of. So while your fixing that, try and think about how you said,"popular music...[keeps people] from...free thought" then tell me how that makes any sense at all.
@SebSome Most people who listen to popular music lives "accordingly" because these modern songs preach ignorance and downright stupidity. This applies to all garbage in any media. There is rare exceptions in pop music (as well as other forms of popular culture) that come along once in a great while that the majority of people do enjoy (such as Ludicrous' song about young women seeking love in all the wrong places). Even still, they do not seem to apply those morals to their own lives.
@Laxanii . I can tell you that almost nobody follows the morals of the music they listen to because its just entertainment. And you're just proving yourself wrong. If people aren't following the morals of the music then they ARE thinking for themselves. They have their WHOLE LIFE to consider their lives. Music doesn't distract you so much that you can't think. Your points are ridiculous and backed up by nothing. Give me an example of how popular music preaches ignorance.
@SebSome A person whose mind is incapable of responding emotionally to a good moral in any song HAS NO (or little) free thought. It is BECAUSE the average person does not THINK about what the morally induced song is attempting to convey that proves they lack thinking for their self. You are saying that because people do not take into consideration what the song is really saying that they are thinking freely? That is silly, for a freethinking person will seek that knowledge and understanding.
@SebSome Entertainment is a distraction. That is all it is: A way to pass the time. When music or something in media is composed with a positive message about the world and life in general, people fail to see that message because it is viewed merely as "entertainment" instead of something with value. This is a sad truth, from my perspective. Life is far too short to waste it solely on entertainment. Knowledge, kindness, free thought, love, and other positive aspects is what makes life so grand.
@SebSome Lastly, the song "City" by Hollywood undead is an example of popular music preaching ignorance. Unless I am missing the satire, they seem to be encouraging violence as a means to rebel and overcome a corrupt society/government. Violence will never contribute to human progress, thus this song is hindering fans of Hollywood Undead from thinking of a more peaceful resolution to changing this world for the better.
@Laxanii War is a catalyst for human progress! Without WWI we wouldn't even have airplanes. Rebelling against a fascist government is a good thing because it often leads to a more peaceful society, and its almost always the only way. The Libyan rebels wouldn't even be alive right now if they didn't fight back against Gaddafi. Although I don't like violence, it still contributes to human progress. Why are you so blind? This isn't ignorance, this is an opinion.
@SebSome That is an entirely different subject. And no, airplanes were not made for WWI. The Wright Brothers modeled the first sustainable airplane after gliders, and were devastated when they learned their wonderful creation would be used for war. Yes, I do believe rebelling against a fascist government is good for society. It is wonderful what has happened in Libya and Caijro over the past year. But a song that encourages sensless violence as solution to a problem is simply asinine.
@SebSome War may have seemed necessary in the past, but with all our technology and advance science in this world there is no logical excuse for war to exist. It does not contribute to human progress. Rather, it holds us back from working together by using our minds individually. I realize that working together with "individual minds" may seem like a contradiction, but just because a person can think individually on their own does not mean they cannot work with other individual minds.
@SebSome Any person who enjoys any form of violence (wrestling, football, etc.) is hindering their full potential to open their minds to infinite possibilities. It is because they get a rise out of anger and raw emotion that their thought-process is barely above that of a primate. This is because anger and violence makes you blind with rage, like the man who punches his wall because his favorite football team lost a game.
@Laxanii Haha, I'm fucking with you. I just wanted to get into an internet fight with someone. And I did, but now you're sending 3 messages at a time so I don't want you to be taking this too seriously. I actually agree with you, I still don't think that popular music is the direct cause of ignorance but whatever.
@SebSome Well, I take my morals very seriously. I wasn't attempting to "fight," but positively influence the way you view things (or at least get you thinking about certain things). You do not have to agree with me, but that's what makes the individual being beautiful. I wasn't saying that pop music is the root of ignorance, but most of it certainly contributes to such stupidity. Just look at Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus. What value in morals do they contribute to the world?
@Laxanii Okay I'll take this seriously, I do believe that they contribute fun to people that like them. The world would be a terrible place to live without fun, even though I don't like this kind of fun. Even you're on YouTube to have fun. People just have different ways that they like to have fun and they have the right to have fun any way they want to. Even though entertainers nowadays are way over payed and people like them for the wrong reasons and this system is stupid, its still fun.
@SebSome I do not see anything wrong with having fun. I would never ask that a person avoid enjoying their self with a fun activity that interests them. What I wish is that people would have fun without undermining their minds and values. I do enjoy comedy from YouTube, but I largely use YouTube and the internet in general to recieve educational information in art, music, documentaries, and philosophy. At the same time, I am having fun laughing at David's satire and moral representation.
@Laxanii You can't want people to have fun (or not have fun) a certain way and also want people to enjoy themselves with a fun activity that interests them. There will always be someone who wants to have fun the way you don't want them to have fun. Everyone should just have fun their own way without being ridiculed. I agree that it would be nice for people to choose educational alternatives to things to make the world less ignorant, but that's not everyone's cup of tea.
@SebSome Yes, I know. And I realize I cannot change or force people to enjoy themselves in any other way than what they already do. All I can do is hope that my advice and philosophical arguements (which I always avoid escalating into shouting matches) help people see things in a different light. People have every right to have fun any way they want, and believe what they wish to believe. Unfortunately, most people would rather neglect reality in blissful stupidity as entertainment.
@Laxanii Actually I don't really care about fun being ridiculed because I do it all the time and this video is hilarious, but I still think people can have fun any way they want to even if its really stupid.
@SebSome I do it all the time as well. But I try to keep peace instead of making people angry; I hope to encourage them to pursue a more productive and optimistic lifestyle instead of demeaning how they live. Of course, people have every right to enjoy any stupid entertainment they wish. It just fills me with sadness that they let their lives become that mindless garbage.
I also appreciate your intelligent responses, unlike the typical person who disagrees with me going on a swearing tantrum.
@Laxanii In the end it doesn't matter AT ALL about the music you listen to when it comes to intelligence. Because it doesn't matter. It's just a form of entertainment and nothing else. Just let people do what they want for god's sake, even if it is stupid. Just enjoy the video and think to yourself, "David is right, I agree with the things he put in this video." And leave it at that.
@SebSome You said it yourself, "It's just a form of entertainment and nothing else." You are absolutely correct on the highest of levels. That is all it is--entertainment for the human mind so the majority can remain distracted and never get a moment to truly consider their own precious life and the world around them. I am a person who advocates knowledge, information, and education. I do not support ANY media that promotes blindness, ignorance, distractions, and entertaining nonsense.
@Laxanii Everyone. Every single person who watched this video understands what he is saying. This is such an explicit opinion that he is portraying. Stop being blind sight biased and stop judging people on nothing. To call you ignorant would be an insult to ignorant people.
@SebSome When I wrote "Most people," I did not actually mean the people who have seen and sincerely understood this video. I meant the people he is mocking--the majority (the "average perons," if you will) and how easy it is to manipulate them into purchasing useless junk that will further decay their minds. At the same time, I would bet a good penny that a large number of people who watch David's animations and videos probably enjoy the same music he is clearly damning.
It makes me sad... because I know if they played a full 3 minute version of "Back 4 More Luv" by Dex Mantis feat. Rizaan, 20 times a day on the radio, it would make it into the Top 20.
I'd bet my whole awesome music library on that (it's pirated anyway *trollface*)
"I would like to buy a kiss from you. What do you charge? I don't have much. I don't have much. Seriously, I don't have much. Haven't been paid yet. When I get paid, I'll give you some more." Dokki, you've got talent. ;)
Holy shit! I remember hearing this 5 or 6 years ago on tv- my mum left the tv on and some channel was playing this on loop- the kooki plops song stuck in my head :L... Then I found out about salad fingers, which leaf me to all his other stuff, and now this... Write that's weird...
@soulsistah102 Lady gaga may not make the greatest song, but she has a good voice. She proved i when she played the piano and sang without auto-tune. But her songs are weird but its not the worst
@1337C14N People need to realise the difference between Gaga and the Britney/Jonas/Beiber/Westlife type. She isn't a studio creation, she is a real woman creating her own music with a talent for playing. She is not 'created' for the public by some Simon Cowell type figure. People need to realise things like this. It was the same with MJ, Bowie, Kate Bush... Not fake 'creations' designed to maximise profit. Real people.
@Pentdad Hahaha, that's funny. I saw a video of Lady Gaga when she was in a talent show in college. She was a great looking respectable woman that played the piano and sang very well. Now she is a piece of shit that uses Auto-Tune out the wazoo, wears stupid shit on her body and can't even remember what it's like to be semi talented. She was taken, melted down and reformed into the garbage she is today by the music industry. But, there is no success in music if your actually talented anymore.
@Ebenezershnezer81 My old Brother I disagree, saying she is all fake would be like saying someone told David Bowie to become a wierdo in the 70s. I believe strongly that Gaga is a wierdo and will not take no crap from studio execs. Someone like Cowell could tell a fictional creation like Britney to do anything. But Gaga has strong leftist opinions and a crazed heart. She is the freak we see, because thats what she wants to be.
@Pentdad But, David Bowie started to try a new type of music in the earlie 70s. Is it a coincidence that when they noticed that change attracted more fans, all of a sudden Ziggy Stardust was created. I am sure that he didn't fantasize at night of being Ziggy f'n Stardust. He must have had some kind of push by the industry. Same thing with Lady Gaga. Nice vocals and piano abilities isn't in, so they took her voice and morphed it, along with her appearance, into what was popular.
@Pentdad My mom was watching a Barbra Walters interview of Lady Gaga, and she is completely different and seems much less intelligent than when she spoke after the talent show(it was just to the camera for not even a minute when she got off stage. it wasn't a speech). I would not sacrifice my honor and integrity and be made a fool of willingly. And, I don't think that once she did change, she magically became a millionaire. She had help becoming what simple minded people want from the m. industry
@Ebenezershnezer81 So shes not that smart... listen dude Britney spears once said something like 'I think we should trust the President in whatever he wants to do' with the iraq war. Which is so retarded its funny. Then you had Gaga a few weeks ago making passionate speeches about gay rights (have a search for Gaga gay rights speech), attacking the establishment. Dude if you think these are from the same stock I just cannot agree with you.
@Pentdad I'm not saying shes dumb, I'm saying the exact opposite. I'm sure she is smart, but the music industry, in order to make her more popular and wild and hip, make her do stupid things, act like an idiot when 'in character', and sing some really shallow and stupid music. I'm sure her respectable and side is in there somewhere, but that isn't what made her a millionaire. So, she feels obligated to act like an idiot until she gets old and learns better cuz that's where the money is.
@1337C14N why can't lady gaga go mainstream doing music like that, then? why must she do the same shitty pop that she always does to keep her fame? she is more of a visual artist than anything
This is why metal/rock>shitty pop. People can actually stand to listen to more than thirty seconds of Bieber and Gaga out there in the world. Thats the most depressing thing i've ever heard of.

It makes me sad... because I know if they played a full 3 minute version of "Back 4 More Luv" by Dex Mantis feat. Rizaan, 20 times a day on the radio, it would make it into the Top 20.
I'd bet my whole awesome music library on that (it's pirated anyway *trollface*)

actually, 4-4 is just a name, the beat is a complex linking of 5/4, 6/4 and two bars of 1/4

I love how that Rebeca Black's 'Friday' is the top related suggestion to this. :)

i would have expected demonic weevils crawling out of the man's ears by the 9th play of the song. it was slightly fashionable at one point.

Kooki Plops > Rebecca Black
Kooki Plops > Justin Bieber
Kooki Plops > Lady Gaga
Kooki Plops > Usher
Kooki Plops > Top 40s Artists...
Forgive me for only using American references (unless you don't count Justin Bieber as America), I couldn't think of any foreign ones...
But this is still the truth...

@soulsistah102 Lady gaga may not make the greatest song, but she has a good voice. She proved i when she played the piano and sang without auto-tune. But her songs are weird but its not the worst
1337C14N 9 months ago
@1337C14N People need to realise the difference between Gaga and the Britney/Jonas/Beiber/Westlife type. She isn't a studio creation, she is a real woman creating her own music with a talent for playing. She is not 'created' for the public by some Simon Cowell type figure. People need to realise things like this. It was the same with MJ, Bowie, Kate Bush... Not fake 'creations' designed to maximise profit. Real people.
Pentdad 9 months ago
@Pentdad Hahaha, that's funny. I saw a video of Lady Gaga when she was in a talent show in college. She was a great looking respectable woman that played the piano and sang very well. Now she is a piece of shit that uses Auto-Tune out the wazoo, wears stupid shit on her body and can't even remember what it's like to be semi talented. She was taken, melted down and reformed into the garbage she is today by the music industry. But, there is no success in music if your actually talented anymore.
Ebenezershnezer81 9 months ago 2
@Ebenezershnezer81 My old Brother I disagree, saying she is all fake would be like saying someone told David Bowie to become a wierdo in the 70s. I believe strongly that Gaga is a wierdo and will not take no crap from studio execs. Someone like Cowell could tell a fictional creation like Britney to do anything. But Gaga has strong leftist opinions and a crazed heart. She is the freak we see, because thats what she wants to be.
Pentdad 9 months ago
@Pentdad But, David Bowie started to try a new type of music in the earlie 70s. Is it a coincidence that when they noticed that change attracted more fans, all of a sudden Ziggy Stardust was created. I am sure that he didn't fantasize at night of being Ziggy f'n Stardust. He must have had some kind of push by the industry. Same thing with Lady Gaga. Nice vocals and piano abilities isn't in, so they took her voice and morphed it, along with her appearance, into what was popular.
Ebenezershnezer81 9 months ago
@Pentdad My mom was watching a Barbra Walters interview of Lady Gaga, and she is completely different and seems much less intelligent than when she spoke after the talent show(it was just to the camera for not even a minute when she got off stage. it wasn't a speech). I would not sacrifice my honor and integrity and be made a fool of willingly. And, I don't think that once she did change, she magically became a millionaire. She had help becoming what simple minded people want from the m. industry
Ebenezershnezer81 9 months ago
@Ebenezershnezer81 So shes not that smart... listen dude Britney spears once said something like 'I think we should trust the President in whatever he wants to do' with the iraq war. Which is so retarded its funny. Then you had Gaga a few weeks ago making passionate speeches about gay rights (have a search for Gaga gay rights speech), attacking the establishment. Dude if you think these are from the same stock I just cannot agree with you.
Pentdad 9 months ago
@Pentdad I'm not saying shes dumb, I'm saying the exact opposite. I'm sure she is smart, but the music industry, in order to make her more popular and wild and hip, make her do stupid things, act like an idiot when 'in character', and sing some really shallow and stupid music. I'm sure her respectable and side is in there somewhere, but that isn't what made her a millionaire. So, she feels obligated to act like an idiot until she gets old and learns better cuz that's where the money is.
