Vera won IMO. They gave it to Randy because a legend doesn't have a 16 - 11 record that would just look bad for Randy who is a cool guy and a great rep. for the sport in general. Everyone I was watching it with thought Vera won. All Randy did was clinch. Did he even take Vera down once? He sure tried a lot....for such a great wrestler that didn't look good. And how many times did Vera knock down with a body kick Couture.....Didn't Vera take down Couture once or twice also???

Of course Dana White had his greasy hands in on it, but good acting on his part to save Captain America's overrated (almost as much as Royce's) career legacy Randy is a good guy though, so I DO NOT dislike him in ANY way (except his idea of a fight is as bad as Mayweather's punch and run technique). All points no effectiveness (especially in a real fight).

Hardy might hit harder, but I think GSP is better technically. I give Hardy a chance to find GSP's chin, but i see GSP with the edge. but it's a moot point anyway because GSP is gonna put the fight wherever he wants whenever he wants.

@SColdSA83 Hmmm, Hardy hits harder, but I don't think his standup is as good. GSP has landed more strikes standing than any fighter in UFC history. Hardy has a punchers chance, no doubt. But there is no way he's going to be able to keep it on the feet. If world class wrestlers like Koscheck, Hughes and Trigg can't stop GSP's takedown, I highly doubt Hardy can. I just hope it's a good fight.

Also Osborne nailed it when he said Swick should try to take it to the ground. I think that is what he wanted but couldn't get Hardy down. I am surprised by Hardy's power. I think he has a good chance at St. Pierre.

Ya Vera won, and that's the bottom line because druggie, biased , DMT abusing, Pot smoking, brain dead, Joe Rogan says so!! Umm no actually, Couture won RDs 1 and 3. Matter of fact, RD 2 was pretty close too. Vera lands 4 body kicks the entire fight and Rogan has an orgasm on each one, yet when Couture was pounding Vera with head and body punches early in RD 3, nearly ending the fight, Rogan practically ignored it. Anyway, The Pacquio - Cotto fight was much more entertaining.

Vera did not get robbed. Vera caught Randy a couple of times, but Randy ran the fight the way he wanted, and landed great combinations to Vera in the clinch. Randy is 46 and Vera is 28. If Vera thinks he's so great, he should be straight up putting away fighters like that. Chuck Liddel said it best that when you leave it to the judges, you have nothing to complain about when it doesn't go your way.
