Our heart for the earth has been abolished by our own ignorance, of the greater wisdom of the aboriginals. Since then the industrial age has been destroying the earth. The greediness of our governments in economic control and lack of awareness to human life and animal life is a shame. Everyone has become bigheaded and only care about themselves with a stable home and money. God please help us see our error that lies in our own fault to the fate.

Ok, Smart Guys. Replace that old standard bulb with a compact fluorescent bulb... and guess whats INSIDE that bulb? MERCURY. LOTS OF IT. Mercury in vapor form. PERFECT for causing autism and all kinds of mental problems in children, babies and pregnant women. And I KNOW that NONE of you morons will ever get a HAZMAT crew to clean up a broken bulb or take it to the proper facility once its broken or doesnt work anymore. You'll just throw that mercury bomb in the trash like a fucking moron you are

i am trying to either ride a bike or walk instead of driving. and i am trying to use floresent bulbs instead of regular bulbs.

dont floresent bulbs cost cheaper too?

I think CFL's cost a little bit more than regular bulbs, but they last a whole lot longer. :) And I'm glad to hear of your alternatives to driving. You're helping the Earth, and helping your body stay in shape as well!

first of all, global warming is a natural cycle of the earth. Why do you think their was an ice age?? And i dont know if anyone remebers this, but a while ago, NASA adressed the earth saying global cooling is happening. Sound like a cycle??

I work at increasing awareness of nature by promoting close-up wildlife observation. When participants photograph and try to represent critters well in video and photographs, they become very aware... which seems to be the first hurdle.

We buy CFC free refrigerators, and energy saving light bulbs and electrical appliances, but all these come at a higher price. We are considering buying energy-saving air-con, but their price are doubled that of normal ones. Hope the manufacturers could sell them cheaper and make such things more affordable.

We have flag days to preserve wildlife and nature. Our utility (electricity and water) bills and conservancy bills (rubbish collection) are all very high.

We have recycling bins at some designated places and a recycling campaign. At some supermarkets, we are suppose to ask for less plastic bags or use our own bag, if not, we are suppose to part with some extra money as donation on certain day of the week.

We also have heavy fines for littering, besides, the punishment of sweeping public areas with a sign that says "I'm a litter bug" being worn.

Our government is encouraging us to take public transport, such as the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT trains) and buses, to reduce CO2 pollution by cars, etc.
