So we blame the E. coli count on, ducks, dogs and geese for polluting our once swimmable beaches...when it is likely the all100 gallon jaccuzzis, hot tubs and five bathrooms a home that make us the envy of the world eh...guess thats the price of progress...pumping raw sewage into our water systems.
Michigan has been kindly taking our trash....so lets push it further and see if they say OK to our sewage by way of Lake Ontario and the great grunge lakes?
Don't we also have an international agreement with the U.S regarding pollution in the Great Lakes? Can they sue us? We are certainly not practicing good stewardship. We also have the nuclear power plant to worry about, and soon the Big Pipe from York Region, going down to Pickering's sewage treatment plant, which will be unable to deal with the capacity even though they've enlarged it. Just wait 'til Seaton is built, along with all the other developments going on. What a nightmare.
