I think that this boy has a great future in front of him. He handled his thani in this video exceptionally well along with the good natham of his hands.
If you you commenting for the betterment of the boy or for the art in general, pls do so. Offer suggestions, but please don't be personal!
I may be wrong, but I think you are just an frustrated armchair critic and not a practitioner, or a ardent supporter of some other mridangam player. No one's asking you to watch the videos. If you cared to look closely, isn't the mridangam bigger than the player!
If you have an issue pls take it up with someone else.
Again if you follow the videos you will see me admit to the boy being young and having a long learning journey. Even the 'masters' knowledge is not complete. No one can ever know everything! What's your background? Who gave you the blanket licence to air your personal frustrations here?

No, you say he's a student of P. Ravindran, . He may have learned from TV earlier but it's not secret you're just adding yourself to these things to promote yourself excessively...
if what you're saying is true, then why did you add your video to Rohan's video about him? By your logic you are claiming that he's also a student of Rohan...your son plays decently well, but like all young musicians, has a lot of room to improve.
titles like "mridangam bigger than young player" are idiotic
If you have a personal axe to grind, pls don't do it here. we don't know each other nor do we owe each other an explanation. You are naive to think that videos posted here 'are not' for self promotion.
hey, whoever you are you need to chill. honestly, i watch all these videos and see you say negative things on a lot of them. give it a rest. you cant deny that this kid has a lot of skill, and hes just 14. stop passing judgment and just appreciate the music. if you dont like it, then stop watching the damn video.
whats more is that your continuous unnecessary criticism causes people to come and ask me about why im being so judgmental, since my name is ajay ravichandran. do me a favor and cool it

CNCLD./all and sundry are running everywhere, "classes" to which young boys and girls are attracted since C Music does not have enough such facility. All areas with sizable nos.of SIndian C Music lovers should organize talent identification and promotion through central facilities, and nurture all promising ones with every encourgement. One is to invite estd.musicians to give concerts, and use the occasion also to put budding musicians in touch with them for contd. inspiration.
Love for Carnatic music is widespread across the world, wherever South Indians live - ex. US, Singapore,Srilanka, UK, Malaysia,... . Carnatic music's future will be invulnerably strong, as long as both listeners and matured musicians make it a point to nurture local talent, supporting them in all possible ways. There is no point in pretensiously bemoaning the fact that so many young South Indian boys, even girls, are veered away by cheaper forms like pop music and "dum doom dum" dances (CONTD.)
tks for your feedback, the problem they were trying to sort was the feedback monitor for the artistes was not functioning properly after the initial sound checks.Hence EM called for the volume to be raised.
