The M3 looks sleek and cool... but it all ends here. I bought the 1.6 diesel one year ago (more or less), done little bit more than 5000km and I'm having tremendous engine problems right now. Paid 21k € for that car (yes, I admit I made a terrible, terrible mistake), and they offer NO OPTIONALS: no gps, no usb connection, no bluetooth, no parking sensors (they asked me 300€ for AFTERMARKET ones!!) nothing at all. 21k€ for a noisy (and jittery) 1.6 liters diesel engine only is a fu***ng fraud.
@samoht1977 have my mazda 3(2012 sedan) for about 3 month now and i have the same 1.6 diesel engine forn now it runs rly well (but the car is new ) i payed for mine about 18000 euros after the dealer gave a 2k discount and i saved about 1.5 k with some government tickets (dunno how they are called in english, its meant to help you buy a new car) and it came loaded with things .. rear parking sensors rain and light sensors , bluetooth heated front seats dual zone ac
@samoht1977 and mine has 6000 km right now after 3 months only things i can complain the ride is a bit ferm for our roads (romania) and the finishes on the inside of the doors look a bit cheap .. i dint get the navigation because i can use my phone for that so i dint want to pay extra
how tall are you cause when i was seating in the back and the seat was all the way back and down for my seatin position my legs were a bit cramped and i'm only 6 Foot 1"
It's absoultely important to note if the car has a "firm ride", I personally would never buy such a car because it bothers me to feel every bump on the road. I drive almost every day in previous version of Mazda 3 and according to this review new version has the same negative features as previous version, namely - "firm ride" and noisy interior.
@ivan00001983 This car isn't aimed for you. Mazda has the sporty philosophy and they back that up. That's what I like about them. They aren't trying to be everything to everyone. They go after a certain kind of driver. one who likes to drive and engagement. yes the downside of a sporty ride is you feel a lot. People who like disconnected and cushy rides buy a Toyota. Not bashing you just saying different strokes for different folks. Cheers.
Please stop judging the "firm ride" in every car. I mean you buy it FOR that setup. Same with a leon and other "sporty cars". VAG and ford and others have both sporty brands and every day brands.
I would really like to know how is it cheap to buy and cheap to run? In todays terms you mean, where running costs (service intervals and spare parts) are pretty expensive? Meh...
@madant1977 Hi. Mat here from CarBuyer here. I don't list exact costs in videos as they change depending on the engine you go for, fluctuating fuel prices and varying insurance premiums. And any figure I could give would only be relevant in the UK. So instead, in reviews I will only point out if a car is considerably more expensive or cheaper to run than it's key rivals. As for the Mazda 3, it's pretty much par for the course, but holds its value better than an Vauxhall Astra or Ford Focus.
@MatWatsonCarbuyer I don't know about UK specifically, but Japanese cars are more expensive to run here in Cro as opposed to Ford or Opel. They break down rarely, but since you have to go to an official dealer for 3-4 years to hold your guarantee they end up more expensive, sometimes by 40% for a regular 15k km checkup.

Updates: took my M3 MkII to the mechanics (for the second time): this time they say they'll swap BOTH common rail and injectors. Way to go!!!
