  • I don't get why Birkenfeld didn't secure a guarantee of full immunity before cooperating with the DOJ. Bad move on his part.

  • It begs to be asked whether penalty was inflicted because of his participation in crime, or for daring to expose it. This brings new and hideous import to the phraseology 'criminal court.' Think this through. I have.

    Those with power use power to retain power. Nonetheless, criminals do not sleep well because there are always those who will brave the reprisals, bring criminality to light and speak truth to power.
