For those who say this doesn't make sense watch the movie! He's a bad guy and was punished this way. He was cursed to live forever and then he was sealed inside a coffin with flesh eating scarabs (which obviously don't exist).
@angeloflifelight um... actually, scarabs that the flesh actually do exist. And in the right temperatures fly. But, I don't believe they were incased in those shells you see in the movie.
this does not make any sense. they take out all of the internal organs out of the body before wrapping the body in bandages. what they did to imhoteps priest was wrap them in bandages while they are alive and then just scramble their brains out of their nostrils with a hot poker. so how did they get the rest of the organs out when the bodies already got bandaged? this is stupid
what the fugi apple cheesecake with whip cream and caremal sauce?! i think this is from the mummy...and no egyptian would burry someone alive. the whole point of making mummies is drying THE DEAD out so they wont decompose, and so that their soul can reconize the body in the afterlife,. im not gonna get 2 vivid, cuz i doubt u youtubers would wanna sit through my lecture ; ) but all im sayin is, this is TOTALLY against their beliefs and its soooo stupid.
@cheesecakerocks11 hey i dont mean to sound like an asshole but thats why they make movies like this to stretch imagination. whatever those bugs are that are buried with him dont exist but they do in the movie just to make it interesting.

@lino1919 Well actually, when he's completely mummied, you can see that his nose has been painted in white so he can breath (freeze the picture if you don't believe me). Concerning the bugs, I'm pretty sure those fellows are made by a computer ;p
