Thats painful to watch....I was once doing the 1/4 mile and the wheel bolts sheered off the passenger rear wheel during a hard launch on slicks....car took a sharp dive to the right but i managed to slow it down before it hit the wall.

Its very common for high horsepower RWD cars to have mishaps within the first few hundred feet of the track...more so than at the top end. Once that back gets out from under you (especially with bias plys out back and radial tries up front), it can be a real handful to recover.
