Hey Chuck, speaking of Captain Jack, have you ever considered doing any Torchwood reviews? I went on a Torchwood binge a couple of weeks back and watched the whole first season in a weekend, and I remember thinking that I'd love to see you review an episode.
I liked the creativity of this episode, hopping from car to car. There was probably a bit too much plot -- nicotine patches and smog pollution and furry sex and giant heads.
@mitchellericglass He answered that in the podcast; because some trek fans still don't get the rating system and those reviews have been going on for years, he didn't want to open this can of worms all over again for an entirely new audience not familiar with it.
Besides the lines between the trek series are pretty clean cut. B5 is very hard to measure on an per episode basis because of the heavy arc structure and Who would be equally difficult for different reasons.
This is in my top five favorites of the new series....one of the main reasons series three is my favorite of the ones. Though the cat babies were kinda REALLY REALLY WEIRD.
And the "scene of daily contemplation" scene makes me choke up for some reason. I think I'm a softie.
However, being a Time War and all, I suppose that alot of the actual fighting is carried out by going back in time and changing things and then having them unchanged and then changing them again and so on and so on...
Below average story in my opinion, saved only by the Boe stuff.
The idea of a decades long traffic jam probably seemed cute on paper, but only works if everyone in the jam is a frickin' moron!

What about a Third Rock from the Sun joke? After all, the Doctor got a... MESSAGE FROM THE BIG GIANT HEAD.

What, no Being Human jokes? The chick who kidnaps Martha IS Lenora Critchlow you know.

why don't you rate doctor who and b5 episodes the same way as star trek

Why do you put the Dr Who reviews on blip?
smsff7 1 year ago
@smsff7 Many reasons, but the most relevant is that the last time I tried doing a BBC review here I nearly lost the whole channel.

@sfdebris So far I've been safe with the two Doctor who related vids I've made on here. So far *crosses fingers*

@sfdebris
I guess that is a good reason, Although it does not matter to me as I can use ether site to watch your vids
PS: For some reason the last 2 Dr. Who reviews you did was within days of me watching the episode on netflix :) I guess good timing.

@smsff7 because the BBC is run by tossers.

I'm probably one of the few that really like this episode: the 2000 A.D. overtones made it for me.

Love this eppisode. It is so completely bonker that people would do this...and yet we do.
Going right over to watch it.

Stupid question, but why doesn't the doctor go back and prevent the war?
welme23 1 year ago
@welme23 Because The time war is time locked a moment in time where no one can get in and no one can get out

@Luffy410
and he kinda killed the timelords himself along with the Daleks to save the universe. Saving one would mean to save both and sacrifice the universe.

@welme23 It's complicated; you wouldn't understand.
