  • Actually, to the comment below about Fenix being inferior, is not true. Once in a while everything has the potential to break. A lot depends on use and care. And also batteries. Mine is still nice and clean and seems very dependable, and I have dropped it, used it in the snow, clearing a tree out of the road while the snow was flying, and the strobe on the TK35 warned traffic a long way off. For the money vs lumens, TK35 all the way! :) I have had it since last year. No problems. Great review :)

  • your compairing an incandesant to an led........ really. its ok to be an asshole and and send money over seas to an inferior product i have a fenix ld20 with a shitty tail cap. i cant believe people trust their life on junk like that

  • Thanks for the very informative and visual review! I am looking to get a Fenix light and came across your reviews. Absolutely love your setup in the dark with real reference markers and distances. Definitely one of the best reviews I have seen. Keep up the fantastic work!

  • nice to see someone calling out surefire on their overpriced lights, they were the standard but let their arrogance and "tactical" status price themselves right out of the edc market.Talk about resting on your laurels!! these Fenix lights seem to good to be true!!! i just purchased a bunch of smaller ones for carry and e15 is amazing for under 2 inches!!! great review!!!

  • Looks like I won't be buying another surefire. After my E2D Led Defender I need more power!

  • I stopped listening when you said cold steel lol

  • Hey buddy!

Very very very nice review my friend has the tk35 and I have the BC40 from jetbeam two very good companies but I gota tell ya I'm big time into flashlighs as well and technology has changed so much in ten years you should check my vids out I think you'll like em :)

  • Spill is width not throw.

  • Just bought two fenixes lol L series though...maybe one day i'll work up to the higher end series.

  • Nice to see a fenix fan, will you be getting the TK70? 2200 ANSI lumens.

  • @yifuj I just got one, I'll be doing a review on it!

  • @weaponseducation That's cool! Just goes to show that Surefire will always be behind in output compared to other brands, since their highest output light-the invictus only puts out 800 lumens.

  • I had a Fenix LD20, Fenix LD05, and Fenix LD01.

The Fenix LD20 died, the Fenix LD05 died, and I gifted the Fenix LD01.

I only use Surefire and HDS Systems lights now.

They may not be as bright, but they haven't died on me.

  • @QuiksiIver I recently purchased a LD20 and I would like to know the weak point of it, what part of your flashlight broke, the driver or the led itself?

  • @newhuskytwenty the circumstances of the breakage were unusual. I was at high altitude in a cold environment.

I had the light hanging from a branch by its lanyard, and the white diffuser tip on, and running it on Turbo. Once I didn't need much light I went to twist the bezel, and it flashed Turbo/Off/Turbo/Off/Turbo/Off and then never came back on.

Perhaps moisture got onto the driver surface. I don't know.

It was in a very remote area (4 days from a road)

  • @newhuskytwenty it is a great light, but do not make the mistake of thinking it is as durable as a SureFire/Malkoff/HDS Systems/Elzetta light.

  • 7:43-7:55 LoL

  • pffft 800 bucks for a light... I felt like a dummy spending 60.

  • I don't think your camera did these flashlights justice. It is hard to get a grasp on just how bright they really are! I was also a surefire fan and have switched to Fenix. I hope surefire gets their act together, but until they do, Fenix is a great alternative.

  • @jermwhl I'll redo this video, it was one of my first, Thank you, Tom

  • @jermwhl Yea, his camera isn't doing the lights justice. Fenix makes great lights for the money but they're not very reliable. I've been a huge flash-o-holic for years and even though I love 4Sevens, Fenix, JetBeam, and O'Light, I still only use SureFire lights while deployed or on duty. I've had my Fenix TK21 fail, Fenix LD20 fail, Fenix PD30 fail, and a 4Sevens AA2 Tactical fail. I still use and carry both Fenix & 4Sevens when camping but when on duty, I use SureFire.

  • Awesome light! Gonna add it to my Fenix collection soon.

  • the tk35 looks great! Affordable too! Great Vid. I'm just now getting into flashlights and you've sold me on the Fenix line.

  • @speedEjonzalez The TK 35 is a must have. Thank you

  • I started getting good flashlights last year. 1st got a Fenix LD20 premium R4 2aa- 210 lumens, then a ZL H501 flood- 1aa- 96lm, then a TK45- 760lm, then a Quark AA S2- 130lm or so, then 2aa tube for Quark.. 180 ANSI lm, then a Preon 2 S2 2aaa penlight-160lm! All great lights. Love the TK45. Great vid!!

  • @bdub232 I really like the Fenix line.l I'll start to do more videos on flashlights. Thank you very much. Tom

  • yea not a fair comparison but all great lights

  • @Chyrnobil I'll re do these videos again!

  • @weaponseducation I own several surefires but I just bought my first fenix and its a tk35! dont' get me wrong I like the vid

  • what's with surefire flashlight that the fenix can't do or overdo, other than the costs?

  • @citocinto Stay tuned for more in depth flashlight reviews. Thanks for watching!

  • I dont think its fair to compare incandescent technology to LED technology.

incandescent is not as bright, drains much more power, and but gives better colors.

Thats all they had at the time.

I think Surefire's new stuff is still great.

  • @abusedbunny I love the Surefire new lights also. Thanks for watching. The video was just a different twist on flashlight videos.

  • Something else you just gotta have is a Torch light. Check it out at wicked lasers.com 4100 lumens. Cost just under $100 dollars. Love your channel!

  • @Isawthatthingyoudid Great input...THANKS!!!

  • Awesome vid! Fenix rocks!

  • @frajada2006 Stay tuned & I will have them on a merchant website!

  • Thanks! I'm getting the TK45!! The new TK41 has 800 lumen and throws to 470 meter!! I'm gonna buy that the moment it comes out here where I live.

  • @haloking325 Enjoy your new FENIX!!! , I love all of mine!!! please tell your friends to subscribe. Tell all of your facebook friends, etc

  • Awesome video. Thank you very much. I was looking a getting the surefire M3 no way after seeing your video. Im going with the TK15 for carry and TK35 for the house. Thank you again.

  • @rustylinM4A2 Thank you for watching. Let me know if you want a really detailed flashlight review. I love the

    "light" !!!

  • too sad your camera wasn't working good ! thanks again anyway from review those lights !

  • @bcv001 I have the camera under control now, check some of my new gun videos. Thank you for watching. Tom

  • Very cool

  • @biguy525 Thank You, Check out some of my gun shop videos!

  • I understand your comparison on price, but your comparing brand new led lights to 10 year old incandescent lights, some of the new led surefires are expensive, but they can stand up to the fenix for brightness, but not on price. you can buy 3-4 tk35 for one 800 lumen surefire.

  • @northriver115 Thanks for your input. This was a different twist on reviews for the fun of it!
